So as long as you aren't expected a 100% transition from the comic you should be happy with the result of the movie. It ties in nicely with the universe they have created, and it also does a nice job destroying the universe they have created.
Also, if you care about the logistics of time travel it would be wise to find a friend to talk about this with because otherwise you end up sleeping on the couch because you annoy your wife trying to figure out exactly what should technically change...
