I have always purchased Sears Kenmore vacuums because they are great quality and last long. Well it broke and it was time for a replacement. I was debating real hard wether to buy dyson vacuum because of its high price. I do not regret it. I use it on tile floor to vacuum daily and my wife uses it before she mops. Picks up tiniest dirt and all hairs easily without getting caught. It's incredible how much dust and dirt it picks up. It's so great that when my wife mops the water comes out clean. I use it on high and it last just enough to vacuum my entire 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, but you have to be quick. I've used it to vacuum my car as well and it's awesome! I will buy the adapters in the future to vacuum my car easier. Thanks Dyson for creating such wonderful products.

Does the vacuum stand on its own or do you lean it on something when you stop vacuuming.
It does not stand on its own. You have to lean it or lay on floor. It's very lightweight that I never let go of it while I vacuum.

I don't understand how this thing charges. Do I have to have a plug in the closet? Do you plug it into the wall and then when charged, put it in the closet?
It comes with an adapter to charge on electrical outlet. It also comes with a nice fixture that you screw on your wall and you can install the adapter through this fixture and when you hang it, it charges the vacuum.

Battery
Is the battery removable, if so can you buy an additional battery to use between charges? 20 mins of cleaning time seems short and Id like to have an extra one so I can switch them out if I have to clean longer.
