This Dell works very quickly and quietly. It does not have too much of the preloaded software that other manufacturers install on their machines. It has convenient hdmi and usb connections along with wireless connectivity too. Windows 10 is installed on it as well.

The Apple TV's pad is sensitive, maybe too sensitive. When watching a movie, you can fast forward, but only move forward by minutes at a time by pressing right side of the pad. However you can move the pointer on the bottom scale and advance a further distance. This is where you will have to practice moving the pointer due to the highly sensitive pad.

Good if close to router

Shows who is at the door, but they have to stay there to show up. There is a delay. It has to be within 150ft of the router otherwise you will have to get an extender for your Wi-Fi. The settings have to be changed so that you do not get a whole lot of motion and alerts, like wind moving the trees in front of your house.

I am thinking about buying this computer for my husband. He has a Windows 7 now. How hard will it be to get used to a 10? All he uses it for is to e-mail and play games. Could I buy the 8gb and be happy?
we also upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 with this machine. The tiles took some getting used to in the start menu at first, but now we have dragged some shortcuts to it. We do not play games on the machine, however we have a fast megabyte down load, so that would be important for playing games if we were to go with graphic intensive games. All the other MS Office programs like word and outlook for windows 10 are easy to learn most are cosmetic changes.
