It's not a bad film but it certainly is no thriller. It's exactly what it says. A film about disease and the spreading of said disease. There's no real connection with any of the characters or any of the stars of the cast. They try with Damon and Fishburne's characters but they spend large chunks of this film absent from the story. It's a messy grab bag of a film that splinters and runs off in many directions for no reason at all. Also, the impact of this global disaster wasn't even depicted to the level one would expect. It certainly takes a shortcut through just what an economic disaster this would create. No "evil" liberal blogger would be able to profit and everyone would be economically devastated as much as anything.

This movie was definitely cute. This movie was definitely cliché. But funny is a bit of a stretch for me. Maybe it's because I'm not an 80's child, but I just didn't get any of the humor that was in this movie. I felt that what was obviously supposed to be comic relief just turned out to be awkward.

This movie is half way between being so bad, it's good and being so good, it's er...good. It's neither too camp, nor badly acted, nor does it have any really dire special effects. But then again, the acting isn't brilliant nor are the effects stunning (except for the spider, which is pretty good).
In short, it's OK.
The hero's main weapon is a kind of giant shuriken-thing which slices through almost anything. It's also under his mental control, which is nice, but as he's non-too bright we don't get to see any of the really wicked things you COULD do with a flying circular saw if you had an imagination.

This film was a surprise to me in that it was not about six or eight adventurers and funny men, was not a World War II edition of Oceans 11, but is the several tales of art experts, acting alone or in pairs, commissioned as a group to locate and save art stolen.
The individual actors play to form, the history was interesting, the writing was predictable and substandard.
I'll probably not replay this, but, for those interested in World War II and its small stories, this is worth spending to see. Certainly it is not an epic or moving war adventure in the ilk of Saving Private Ryan.

The animation is top notch, not discussion, even better that "dinosaur" that was very good already, but when it came to the screenplay, and those dialogs, man, that was painful to watch. I mean, I saw kids yawning. A story may be simple, but never boring. Dialogs may be sparse, but entertaining or funny.

What's great about it: Made very well for the young audience,
What's not so great: Unfunny juvenile jokes, talking dinosaurs whose mouths don't move

Imagine Now You See Me as Ocean's Eleven meets The Prestige and you sort of get what director Louis Leterrier was going for with this film. Is Now You See Me as successful as the aforementioned films? Not necessarily, but it's a fun movie that deconstructs the acts of modern magicians.
