I collect Bond, so I am biased. I do think this is one of the better 007 films. All my previous DVD copies have been faulty, although the VHS was not, so I was glad to see that a Blu Ray version was available. The quality of image and audio is quite wonderful., much better than the DVD special edition, on my up-scaling player and UHD TV. I plan to get all the series if they come out this well.

Love the Movie, but accent is a mystery

I saw this movie Brave in theatres and failed to get the dialogue for the most part. I love the themes and the animation, especially the heroic horse and the expressive Mamma Bear, but I could not understand the dialog, so I hoped the Blu Ray would help me there. Tough luck. Well, I understand the plot anyway, so Maybe I will have to look at subtitles. The art is wonderful and the action is well-directed. The color is rich in contrast and the textures are fearsome well-done. However, there are sections which seem to be less well-integrated in the art or surfacing techniques. I hear Scots brogue fairly frequently live, and think perhaps this version could be more intelligible.

Fine Center Channel Speaker

I am enjoying this fine center channel speaker. The sound quality is good, but just a little bit canned to my ear. I mean, the sound seems to come from a tin can in some ranges. As I said, the tin-can sound is only a small part of the experience, and it may relate more to the receiver/amplifier than the speaker. Overall, I am quite happy with the unit, and the price was not bad.

I did not expect much from an appliance so inexpensive in today's inflated world, but this product has performed well and is just the right size for me. For a single, there is no need for giant refrigerator space, but the tiny half-high units are much too small. I am impressed with this product. My only complaint is that it makes a little bit of noise constantly. It is light enough for me to move myself and keeps my food supplies at the correct temperature. I expect it to last a long time, but that is unknown. I have had it for over a month now and no troubles.

Essential connection

To connect my UHD screen to my older workstation, I use this adapter and have had a great experience with it so far. I might ask for a somewhat longer wire, but otherwise it is great. I have had some lag in HD disc play, but that is not necessarily from the adapter. My Nvidia cards may not be up to snuff.

Is this optical audio cable a good choice for my 2013 Samsung 65" Smart LED HDTV 3d television Model UN65F7050AF, series 7050 (bought from Costco, 1080p, 240Hz, 720 clear motion rate, dual core processor)? I also have a Samsung Smart 3D blu-ray player and a Bose Cinemate GS 11 speaker system (running the audio optical cable directly from my optical audio out on my tv to the audio optical port on the Bose system/only rca jacks port & optical port on the Bose). I want to get the best picture (3d, blu-ray movies, etc) and the best audio/sound (3d, blu-ray movies, etc) possible without spending a small fortune($$$)? Or should I buy a higher quality optical audio cable. This audio optical cable was the only 12 footer Best Buy had in stock with out a special order. Thank you
I have a similar rig. The only problem I had was the socket for the Samsung end of the audio optical cable was difficult to engage. The picture does not go through this cable, and audio will pass through only if your HDMI port is not passing audio with the video. Say, for instance, you are playing a CD, not a video or game.

Can I safely power this center speaker with a 7.2 rceiver/amplifier thta has only 110 Watts per channel?
I am using an Onkyo with only 115 watts, and the Klipsch center channel speaker works fine.

My subwoofer has a noticably 60HZ hum when it's turned past 1/3, is this normal?
I suggest switching the polarity. I have the same speaker and no hum. There is also a product sold for stage use which conditions the lines against hum which you could try. I think you may also have some fault in the connection to your amplifier.

HDMI to laptop
My laptop does not have an HDMI port. I need to plug an adapter into the USB port so that I can connect an HDMI cable. Is this the correct device?
Unfortunately, no. If you have USB 3 on your laptop, possibly there might be an adapter for that, and some newer laptops and tablets have a mini-HDMI port, but you must have the correct mate to the port available on your laptop and then the other end must be the HDMi plug.
