Pre-soaking ability? You can't stop this machine to soak?
Do I understand that there are no longer any machines that allows me to start a load of whites at night, then stop it and let it soak until the next morning, and then continue the wash cycle? I want to go back to a traditional machine with an agitator and soaking ability and it seems as though all the wonderful technology has taken away go old fashioned washing options....
Sure just don't close the lid until your ready to start washing

Can I open the washer during the wash cycle without it starting to drain outthe water?
Sometimes you might want to throw in another piece of clothing after the washer has filled and started the wash cycle. Can you do so and not have the water start running out or can you open the lid to just check to see if everything is ok?

my mother just bought this machine and she is not statisfied with the water not covering up the clothes in the machine what is wrong with it?
Don't use auto sense. Auto sense is a problem with all washers don't know why just is.Set it manually works great.

Is there any place that lists the total washing time for each of the cycles?
Average is 30 min. to 1 hr. depending on load size and settings you prefer like extra rinse and so on.

Fill takes to long
Any reason why the fill takes so long before it starts to wash, also it fills and then it starts flashing and I have to hit the start button again to start the wash.
Make sure and check water filter on hose this is a common problem and have had to clean mine a couple of times.

can this washer be returned to best buy
I bought this to replace a broken machine. It was cheaper than 500. to fix the old one. The water level is horrible. We followed all the directions and even tried the "troubleshooting" but the water is far under the cloths. No matter what we do the water is under the clothes. The first time we tried to wash our light queen quilt like cover it rocked so hard the washer moved 2 feet. We had to hold onto it so it didn't put a hole thru our wall. What is the point of having this machine if we have to go to the laundry mat? This isn't our first washer but it is the worst. I would not recommend at all.
Don't use auto sense this is a problem with all auto sense washers. Set the water level manually and it works great.
