I can not comment on this washer's performance yet since I have not used it. However, it has a very large capacity drum and looks very sleek and modern. Although I love the look of a front loader, I do like the functionality of a top loader and since this one looks very different for a top loader I feel very happy with this purchase. Will comment later on performance once I use it

Height With Lid Open To Put In and Remove Clothes
What is the height (inches) needed when lid is open? With the hinge on the lid, can clothes be put in and removed when lid is folded back? What would that height (inches) be? I have upper cabinets and need to know if I have space to open lid.
I remember doing this a month ago as I had a similar problem but I believe you need at least 54 inches. But im not 100% sure. The hinge does fold up and tuck away nicely giving you a little room to play with if needed on the height.
