Its good for the price

Well this is my first review so here we go. i was looking for a holder for my LG G 5 (which is a large phone). As far as holding the phone its 5 stars. The only hassle is getting it in the vent. Its strong once you fight with fishing the claws threw your vent., and went you want to take it off you better have small fingers because good luck. Once its on the vent and your phone is sent you are worry free tho, it never moves. Also plugging your phone in is no problem it holds tight. Over all it well built and works great,

Will my htc 1 smartphone be damaged by having it so close to the vents during high heat in winter or AC in summer?

Hi Brooks, I wouldn't recommend it. If you have ever left your phone out in the sun to long and got the extreme heat phone shutting down message, that"s what has happen to me in the past with my heat on high for about 30 minutes. i hope this helps.
