I bought this orange Fire Hd8 on Black Friday so it was at a great price. My husband likes it a lot. It was purchased as a replacement for his previous Fire 7 tablet that was having charging issues. I've heard of a several others having the similar issues so hopefully this model lasts longer and has an improved charging port.

No Sleep Timer & doesn't work from a distance

After a frustrating setup (had to stand right in front of the TV for it to work), I also realized there is not a sleep timer feature or menu button that takes you to the sleep setting. I exchanged this remote for the RCA 3-device Universal remote which was the same price, worked from a distance and has the sleep timer button.

You should know this phone does NOT come equipted with an IR Blaster so you CANNOT control your TV, blu-Ray player, DVD player, cable, etc from your phone like you could with previous models. I found this out after buying. Also, my phone freezes often & repeatedly disconnects from various wi-fi connections (my home, hotels, restaurants, etc.) Upon returning to the store, they offered to send out my brand new phone & replace it with a refurbished model. So basically pay full price for a refurb. I hope if you purchase, that won't happen to you too. Also, kinda sucked when originally purchasing the rep told me they were going to come out with a green color in a few weeks & I said if it was rose gold I would definitely wait!!! I settled for this regular gold only because I was told that rose gold is an Apple exclusive color & Samsung won't ever have that color. Welp, today I checked my email & low & behold... rose gold is available AND buyers get a $200 gift card! Imagine how I felt after reading that :'(
