Sound quality was very good. You probably will have to use the included remote to turn the volume up and down or the Bluetooth device you are playing to it. You most likely can't use your TV or cable remote to change the volume as they are already programmed to control your TV and the TV volume is not reflected by this sound bar. However if you happen to have a Insignia TV, you should be able to use it to turn the volume up and down.

Good all-round laptop

This was for my dad to surf and do taxes, write letters etc. I originally wanted one with 12gb of ram, but settled for 8gb and an i7 processor instead of and i5 with 12gb. The computer set up very quickly and came with very little bloat-ware which is nice. I didn't much care about the graphics card as he won't game on it, but it appears as though the intel HD 620 isn't the worst card out there. You can see videos of people playing Fallout 4 with it at probably about Xbox 360ish performance. Dad has had no complaints.

What are the differences between the NS-SB316 and NS-SB314 Insignia Sound bar models? Also which one is the newer model? Thank you.
I believe the NS-SB314 has manual controls on top of the speaker for volume and switching between the different inputs and the bass boost button as well as a remote control. The NS-SB316 only has the controls via the remote. I'm not 100% positive on that, but pretty sure that is the main difference...
