I always wanted this set, but mostly just for the K.K. Slider amiibo. However, I picked these up for just $5 for all three, which was a steal and definitely worth it.

I pre-ordered this particular amiibo not even because I have a Switch or Breath of the Wild (I have neither yet) but because when the new design for Zelda was unveiled, it was instant love. She has such a fresh look that really brings her in line with the modern Zelda stories. I ordered the amiibo just to show my support for this awesome design.

For $5, this is definitely worth it. The device is easy to use; the range of apps available is mixed (not really a reflection on the product itself, but it does impact the quality of your engagement with the product). But I've found a few really great ones that make it more than worth what I paid for it.

I have played most games in the franchise, and had initially skipped this installment, but picked it up recently after learning Pokemon from this version could be transferred to Sun/Moon when it comes out. I love the design, the level of detail that went into each town, and the ability to customize your avatar.

The card packs are really for getting exclusive main characters from the series, like Isabelle or Digby. Everyone else can be unlocked through regular play. But, it's fun to connect the cards nonetheless.

Fire Emblem: Birthright and FE: Conquest are two extraordinary games in the FE series. That said, I recommend beginning with Birthright, if you intend to play both games at some point. Birthright allows you to generate infinite counters so that you continue to grind and build support relationships between your party members. Conquest, on the other hand, has limited encounters, so you're forced to be highly strategic in every battle - which, of course, is part of the allure in Conquest.

Fire Emblem: Birthright delivers the same promise of other titles in the series before it - intriguing story, interesting characters, and fun combat. I definitely recommend starting with Birthright before picking up Conquest, which is the more challenging of the two games. The advantage to Birthright is that you can grind more and spend more time developing support relationships between your party members, as opposed to the finite number of encounters available in Conquest.

Those looking for a deeply complex story will be disappointed. FF Explorers lacks any real story, the premise merely being that you an "explorer." However, one can appreciate this game for just being a straightforward quest-focused game. The game just involves completing quest after quest, in a fairly limited map. Yet, the game remains surprisingly compelling. I've clocked a few dozen hours just replaying quests with the multiplayer co-op. For me, the co-op is the real fun aspect of this game. Creating a room and joining a room is quick and easy, so you can get down to the fighting in minutes. All in all, it's a fun game. Definitely worth $20, maybe $30 for most people, but $40 is a bit steep for the quality. However, I personally have gotten $40 out of this game for my own enjoyment.
In 1998, the world was introduced to StarCraft ~ the groundbreaking science-fiction real-time strategy series about three unique rival species ~ the Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss ~ locked into a perpetual war to secure their place in the galaxy. Now, 17 years later, the stunning conclusion to the StarCraft saga is almost here . . . and a new era for the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game is set to begin.

This game didn't much GOTY buzz; however, you'd be remiss to overlook this final title in the StarCraft series. Blizzard delivers in terms of story and gameplay.
