Considering how portable the switch is, a case is needed. This is a good looking case, the cartridge slots are nice, but if you want it to hold chargers and other accessories space is limited. The screen protector is meh at best. The grips for the joy cons are a nice enough fit. They add some thickness to the bottom of the joy con which is nice.

I use it on mine, and all I use is the USB cable it came with. I would recommend getting at least a 1 TB hdd though, for maximizing the usefulness over time.
