Season 9 of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia was a very funny and entertaining season of the outlandish comedy series. Every episode had something to laugh at and some of the episodes were hilarious. In past years, there would be a few episodes each season that fell flat and didn't seem to have the same humor that I expect, but season 9 delivers. The bonus features are also really good and include outtakes, gag reel, and commentaries that add even more laughs. This is a great season to own because all the episodes have major re-watchability and the directors cut of the lethal weapon spoof is priceless.

X-Men Days of Future Past was a phenomenal movie all around. The special effects were seamless and exciting, the action was plentiful and the story was surprisingly thoughtful and interesting. They have redeemed themselves from the train wreck that X-Men 3 was. Now that they have put the franchise back on track, I am actually looking forward to X-Men Apocolypse. This installment of X-Men had an amazing cast playing beloved characters that is not only worth seeing, but worth buying to watch over and over again.

After reluctantly seeing this movie for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at how funny it was. With the second and third viewings, I picked up on more of the background jokes and it seemed to be funnier and funnier. The dizzying view of the hand held cameras gets to be less of a problem once you get into the story and the crazy shenanigans the characters are up to. Project X doesn't reinvent, the stoner flick, house party genre, but it does that type of movie proud.

Entertaining comic book adaptation

Though I am not a green lantern comic fanatic, I did enjoy this movie. They seemed to capture the essence of what I understand the character to be and represent. The special effects are well done and add to the movie a punch that the standard good vs evil storyline doesn't. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have good chemistry and therefore the characters they play blend well into the basic plot their characters are wrapped up in.

Time has made Sly realize he makes a certain type of film for a specific demographic and he embraces that with this movie. It is nothing special or spectacular, just a solid shoot 'em up, buddy cop esque, action movie that doesn't get hung up on a detailed plot, they just keep the fighting and action coming for 90 minutes. If you like the action, fighting, shooting, explosions, etc, this movie is for you.

I had high hopes for this film as I am a fan of the genre, however, I thought the story was too generic and the special effects got in the way instead of complimenting the action. Pompeii had an okay cast that all pretty much played their parts well, though no one really stood out as an amazing character. It was a typical good guy has to overcome his circumstances and a ruthless villain to save the day and his true love kind of movie, but was still entertaining and worth the watch.

I didn't see this movie in the theatre and after watching it on blu ray, I wish I would have seen it on the big screen. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie because it kept my interest the whole time. Great epic movie

Overall, this movie was good; not better than the first, and not worse, just different. While 300 was action driven and contained massive battle sequences, Rise of an Empire was story driven, and contained some prequel elements that filled in some of the who and why. This film was a good movie that will satisfy fans 300, but that can also stand alone. It is definitely worth buying the blu ray combo because it has more special features and also includes an Ultraviolet copy.
