With 10 outlets, I have more than enough for all of my equipment. I have this model for 2 years and it has been very reliable. When I needed an additional unit, I purchased the same model again.
I did have a minor problem with the new unit, but APC was very fast in resolving the issue and sent out a replacement without hesitation. I only buy APC equipment for the best quality and best service.

NON AUDIBLE ALARM battery back up for a security system, who makes and where?
Any UPS will work fine - just turn off the audible alarms. I have turned them off on all of my backup units. Stick with APC for the best quality and service.

Other than computer usage
I am looking for a backup power supply for my CPAP machine. I need this for breathing when asleep. When I lose power in the middle of the night, I can't breathe. What I need to know is will this work without using the software? I have no need for the software function, but need a longer lasting backup like this for my medical equipment.
No. It will not work for a CPAP. I will not last long enough. You will need to get a marine battery and a high power recharger. I got mine at Sears - a Die Hard Platinum with the Die Hard charger. It will last well over 8 hours.

the APC 750. Can it be used for a T V and Direct T V ?
When the power has a power flash. where it goes off and comes right back on and I have to reset my Direct T V and wait for the satellite to reset will this unit hold enough power to keep this from happening ?
Absolutely. I have it powering my Sharp 60" TV, 2 Bluray players, a DVD/VHS unit, the cable box and several other accessories including speakers. I never have to reset anything after a brownout, flash or short power outage. By short I mean anything under about 1½ hours. It is a battery after all and will only last about that long.
