This tripod is different than the one I had and I love it. Just a small pin that screws into the bottom of the camera and locks into the tripod makes it easy. The locking pistol grip is very easy to use as well.

What about for a 2011 Honda Civic
I don't think the make, model or year has any impact on this unit working. Just have a source of power (cigarette lighter plug). Mine works great in a 2010 Camry. Always connects as soon as I start the car. I used the remote mic on the visor. You also need a aux feature (1/8 plug) on your radio to use it through your speakers.
