If you liked the first spider-man, you should like this movie. The story is about as good as the first one. I thought the video quality and sound were excellent. If your a fan of spider-man it is recommended.

Slow burn of a movie

I think Sandra Bullock has her best roll yet!! It is a slow moving movie but that's because there are only 3 people in the entire cast. The tension is palpable and convincing. The video is breathless in both it's picture and in the story. I went to this with a friend and they did not like it thinking it too slow. I don't know what to compare this too other then Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Sandra Bullock is on screen for the majority of the film and I think she nails it. George Clooney is in the movie as well but is playing,,,well, George Clooney, such a waste. Sandra Bullock is sooo much better. If you like less action and character studies I would recommend this

I read the hobbit in school and when I heard Peter Jackson was going to make it into 3 movies I was wondering how? I think of the two so far this is the stronger entry as character development is greater and I think the story moves at a better pace. The video is excellent and I definitely recommend this if you are a Hobbit fan

If your a fan of Ghostbusters this is the Disc to have. While the transfer shows it's age it is definitely better then the DVD version that I had. I think as a movie it holds up over time....or it could be Im just a huge fan.

Great Movie if you like Robert Redford

I really liked the movie! I love movies and have always liked Robert Redford. The photography is top notch and the sound is fantastic. For only having one person in the movie it kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole time, without explosions and car chases. The only complaint was I wanted to know more backstory. This movie is not for everyone but is a subtle character study.

If you like Richard Burton, this is one of his best roles. This is a different kind of spy movie, not unlike Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the Alec Guiness TV movie) It is a slow methodical spy movie with no action like a james bond movie. Richard Burton is fantastic and the Criterion version while not perfect is better then the previous DVD release. Highly recommended.
