Fun monster rock em sock em. Very good 3d although no Atmos track on the 3d disc. On the 2d disc there is an Atmos track which is excellent and more powerful and immersive than the DTS master track. This steelbook was the best value as it also came with a uhd disc, but I can not comment on that as I am not uhd ready.

Is this unit capable of running Atmos?
Yes, this unit can run Atmos and DTS:X, which are both object based surround formats that add height information to the traditional surround format. It also has two subwoofer outputs if one wants to add another sub to the equation.
