This Norwegian film , although not as well known in the U S is worth a very good look. The story plot is not unrealistic and actually based on real possible world scenarios. Part of a cracked mountain falls into the ocean , creating a giant Tsunami. Special effects excellent. It has a Norwegian and English language track.

Too many actors and famous cameos to list.
Although cinematography was beautiful , the plot was just too drawn to really enjoy and I was counting fir a quick end. Sorry. It was an attempt at a modern FELLINI type film.

if half your screen is very dark could your hdmi cable have gone bad(not working)
Tough question . It could be a malfunction of the back lighting panel. Some back lighting is edge , local or full array.
Part of the system could go bad in an isolated area.
The SONY model 930D , has a dual light panel that seperately could go wrong , either the top or bottom. It's new technology for Sony tvs to increase brightness and overall picture quality.
An HDMI cable could have a glitch that more than likely would affect the whole pictue , but anything is possible.

what is the name of the box for4k tv's that has movies?
Not sure which box you refer to. There are boxes put out by the tv manufacturers such as SONY or SAMSUNG that contain 4K CONTENT .
Other boxes available by private companies do offer 4K streaming services.

The 1.3 cable or 1.4 handles the processing of HD CONTENT.
The 2.0 cable is Required for the 4K proper processing. It also helps to keep the superior color and sound spectrum.

I have a Samsung 4K curved tv and just recently purchased this 4K blue ray player. Is it recommended to use the "BD Wise" setting?
Never tried . Call up Samsung , they can guide or explain that feature.

how do u set this player to show a full image instead of letterbox bars on top and bottom on 4k movies
I haven't tried it , but your Menu should allow picture configuration like full screen , original format , etc. Or try on your TV menu under picture format choice.

Yes , 100%. It will upgrade the picture quality . Your old dvds will look better and your Blurays upscale to near 4K , but not same level. That's due to the Ultra 4K HDR . YOUR TV HAS TO BE ABLE TO PROCESS HDR ,to get the full effect.

I have a 65 inch Samsung Ultra 4k 3d and bought the new Samsung k8500 Ultra Blu-ray player do I need to do anything else
Just make sure you're using high speed cable fir better picture. As long as it handles 2.2 ultra HDR.

I have a LG OLED55C6P I know this unit will work with my TV but LG uses Passive 3D Glasses. In an earlier question someone said that you needed to use Active 3D glasses with this Blue Ray Player. is that the case with this LG TV?

HDMI UHD color working when using regular blu rays, but I lose picture when I play a 4k UHD disk. Any suggestions?
If you're using the Samsung 4K Ultra HDR player , it will upgrade your Blurays to an improved picture and sound.
If you play the latest 4K Ultra HDR discs , they should play without loss of sound or picture quality. Make sure you have HDMI high speed cables. They support 2.0 processing . If you lose picture , that's extreme. Usually more common to lose the quality of picture if no 4K Ultra TV , or cable connect problems. HDR only works with certain ports on some TVS .
