We have only made ice cream one time so far but did enjoy the ease of making cream. Do not cut any corners in freezing the bowl. You need to know a day or two before you want ice cream to start making ice cream. The day before you will need to freeze the bowl and make the ice cream mix and chill overnight. The next day you put your mixture into the bowl and let stir for 10-15 minutes and the place in a separate container and allow to thicken or harden for a couple of hours.

The mixer was purchased as gift. It was only intended to be used as a mixer for cookies and bread, but with the the extra attachments that can be purchased this mixer is fantastic. We have purchased the ice cream mixer so far and have enjoyed homemade cream as well as cookies.

What's great about it: The extra attachments that can be purchased that expand the use of just being a mixer.
What's not so great: It does take up space on the counter but the accesories fit in the bowl for storage
