great controller, albeit expensive as heck

dual shock is as good as ever... however, the controller that came with my system a couple years ago wasn't great, there was a defect with the R2 trigger which a lot of people experienced, where it became impossible for the trigger to register full pressure, this was a huge problem in many games where vehicles were involved. I really only got a new dual shock, because of this. I like that it's translucent, i remember when they released translucent controllers for the original playstation... very cool because you can see the vibration weight spin around. but i don't know why these are so expensive, i assume it's just because people buy it with no complaints.

not too bad

It's better than Heavy Rain and worse than Beyond Two Souls. All of David Cage's recent games are not as good as Until Dawn. The game/story is incredibly corny. It is somewhat engaging nonetheless, but probably not worth $60.
Watch the TV show, Humans, instead.

USB enclosure without the enclosure. I love the idea of being able to quickly swap drives. If you want to back things up and then store a drive away, this would do the trick.... or if you're trying to retrieve data from a failing external drive, you can try to see if taking the HD out and putting it in the dock helps.

Slim usb thumb drive fits anywhere

I've been using this for my Samsung smart TV, and it fits right in the side nicely. The original PS4's usb port is actually absurd (i dunno if they changed it) but some USB thumb drives don't fit properly because the body is too big, but this one fits nicely.

A combination of Shadow of the Colossus or ICO
on March 16, 2017

If you've played any of Team ICO's previous games, you really don't need to play this. This is a beautiful game, but with so much frustration that it's not worth playing. When you know what to do, but the animal won't do it, the game is just terrible.
I'm a big fan of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, I still have the originals on PS2, and I have the remastered collection on PS3... however, as soon as I finished this game I sold it.

Sorta Great
on March 16, 2017

I didn't think I would like this game, but since it's final fantasy, i was willing to give it a chance anyway. I've played and completed FF7 and FF13. I got to the very end of FF8, but wasn't strong enough to beat the final boss. I've played the beginning of FF6 (which is FF3 in the USA). When you first boot up the game it says, "a final fantasy for fans and first timers." I will agree with that mostly, since you don't have to know anything of the story, and the battle system is nothing like the old days. However, there are somethings like knowing phoenix down is what to use when you've died, that the game doesn't explicitly explain... When I died the first time, it said, choose an item from the menu to revive yourself or the game is over... and I wondered how newcomers would know to use phoenix down, unless they are really paying attention.
Anyway, besides the game not having any playable female characters (i assume that's how it is until the end), and the extremely long loading times. The game is a lot of fun. It feels a lot like the witcher 3, which was one of the last RPGs i played, but unlike the witcher 3 the game is actually fun, and it feels good to progress. One of the things I most enjoy is that there are plenty of quests they give you to level up, so you don't have to rely on random battles to grind. Also a new thing in RPGs is they give you a recommended level you should be before doing a quest. I've always thought grinding was a pointless part of Final Fantasies/Squaresoft RPGS (I'm a big chrono trigger/cross fan) At least now they tell you how much to grind, rather than making you guess when you're ready to go after a boss.
Something i forgot to mention which is quite cool, and something metal gear has been doing for the last 3 games, is you can listen to old games soundtracks while on the world map, either in the car cd player or by buying a mp3 player in the game after chapter 3. I think this is awesome, although they are missing some good tracks from FF7 (why not just include everything/?) it would have also been nice to see more squaresoft games.. but maybe licensing their own music costs a lot? i'd like to have seen an album of normal pop/rock/etc music too. also i noticed the NES games music isn't the NES version of the music it's some updated version, which is a shame, because it'd be fun to hear NES music in a current gen game. In MGS 5 they let you listen to the NES music i think.
Anyway, i'm still playing the game i'm 12-13 hours into it, so far it's sorta great.

Great for fans of the genre and maybe for non-fans

I enjoyed this a lot more than "The Evil Within". The story confused me on my first playthrough, but it was because of a misunderstanding which I was able to correct on my second playthrough. The game seems to try to emulate some aspects of The Last of Us, as I get a bit of an Ellie vibe from the adorable Moira. There are a few satisfying puzzles along the way a la Ico or Prince of Persia or Haunting Ground. The combat is fun except the enemies' heads don't pop off which seemed out of the ordinary. Besides the standard story mode which can be played split screen co-op with a friend, there's another mode where you just try to kill everything in a level called Raid Mode. You can play Raid in splitscreen, and just recently they added online co-op, albeit only with one partner. If you sign up with their free online account you can do community specific missions. You can easily sink hours into this game beyond your first playthrough.
