The PS4 is outstanding. However, I expected it to be a direct replacement of my PS3. It is not, and it won't be until the enable it with DNLA for home streaming music and video.The graphics and game play are awesome though.

Great way to remove a cable

I had bought two of these. One for a Christmas present. This product is very intuitive to setup, just connect the four wires and power up the units. As I said, I bought two of these, unfortunately one was DOA. The receiving unit would not power up. Best Buy easily exchanged it for a replacement. The replacement worked like a champ. Both are used everyday, and they have worked seamlessly without any problems. The unit replaces two long speaker cables and the need to try to hide them. I did feel that the price was a bit high for it does. However, the price seems to be justified by the quality of the product experienced so far (exception the DOA unit).

Does the receiver have to be bluetooth enabled?
Can it be used with older technology, a 20-year old integrated amplifier?
Yes, this can work with older technology. I used it on my 15 year old Sony amplifier. The wireless is all self-contained in the system. You connect the transmitter(which is in the kit) to the speaker outs on your device. You then connect you rear speakers to the receiving device, which is also in the kit.

Having a receiver for each speaker with one transmitter
I want to set up a stereo configuration rather than surround sound.
I would like send a signal from my receiver/amp wirelessly to my speakers (each speaker with a separate receiver & 2ft of speaker cable) separated by about 20 ft. Do I need a transmitter and a receiver for each speaker or is it possible to have one transmitter with two receivers hooked into it?

This is sold as a set, one transmitter, one receiver. They are factory preset to only work with one another. It is possible to do what you are looking to do, but you would need to by 2 full sets (2 transmitters, 2 receivers)

Does wireless mean zero cabling?
I am trying to place two speakers on my deck with the premise they would be wireless. As I understand it, they would be stand alone, require no wiring and be accessed via the wireless transmitter which I would connect to my current receiver. Is there more to it than that?
Unfortunately, it is not completely zero wires. The Base unit connects to your system which then connects wireless to the receiving unit. From this unit you would then have wires going to your two speakers on your deck. The receiving unit does power the two speakers independently. This device will eliminate extra long wires that can be tripped over or unsightly.
