Problem is it can be really slow at times due to internet restrictions and what not.

Need Video Editing Space? And Fast!?

This is 3.0 USB speed super fast and has Ton of space at a whopping capacity of 6TB. This is perfect if you plan on editing videos a lot!
It doesn't have spool up lag like 2.5" drives which is really nice.
I have both WD 3.0 2.5" and 3.5" drives and the 2.5" has a Spool up delay and the 3.5" is immediate.
Though the 2.5" is self powered USB and portable it's atleast understandable.
So this 3.5" is perfect for a desktop set up since it requires a plug to power it.

Uses 2 AA batteries. There are many official and aftermarket options for rechargeable battery packs you can pop into the back.
I personally use quality rechargeable AA batteries with high capacity cells.
I do not recommend standard disposable AA batteries. They will die off rather quickly from experience and that's even name brand quality batteries.
