I'm a big fan of the original film. It will always be superior to this reboot in just about every way. With that said, this is a great reinterpretation of RoboCop for the modern age that we live in. Great performances by this all star cast.

Acting, writing, cinematography...literally EVERYTHING is top notch in this show. Frank Underwood makes Walter White look like a girl scout trying to bake and sell her own brand of cookies. Blu-ray collection has great behind the scenes stuff and excellent quality picture.

Typical COD grind, but Extinction is a nice change

I gave up on COD back when MW3 was released. I just stopped buying them because it was the same old stuff every game.
For the most part COD: Ghosts is no exception to that rule. I got it on sale for about $20 brand new mainly for the Extinction mode. After playing that with several friends I would consider it to have been worth it. The extinction mode has much more structure than Zombies and I prefer that. It's a lot more than just survive the next wave, it's objective based with each wave you encounter so it helps facilitate team work and cooperation.

Is Gold worth it? That depends...

If you enjoy playing online against people then it is absolutely mandatory to have a Gold account. You're not doing that without it.
If you are a single player or couch buddy focused gamer then Gold isn't really all that necessary unless you want to take advantage of the "Free Games with Gold" titles released every month.
Additionally, the Games with Gold titles that have released each month for the Xbox 360 have been far superior to the titles that have released on the Xbox One. So, if you just have an Xbox One and don't do much multiplayer online then Gold might not bee very valuable to you at this time. IMHO.

I played the original one on my Xbox 360 and LOVED every minute of it. I sold it...then I bought this one on sale for about $20. Part of me wishes I hadn't. While the update is a rather major one, the core game and story is exactly the same so I found myself being less motivated to finish it. If you found yourself playing through the original one multiple times then you probably wouldn't suffer from what I did. Because I had exhausted the original one the whole game had a "been there done that" feel to it that couldn't keep me going.
With all of that said...if you haven't played it on either system then this is the one to get and you ABSOLUTELY should buy it! It's an incredible game.
