Great Movie, Great Presentation

This is the Saturn Award winner for Best Classic Film release. It probably looks better than it ever has before. Most people will be familiar with this groundbreaking film that made slasher films mainstream. It was filmed for $325,000 in 1978 and returned over $70 million at the box office making it one of the most successful independent films of all time. You have seen lots of imitators, but if you haven't seen the original, now is the time.

A Great Sampling From The End of the Motown Era

The Commodores were much more than a background sound for Lionel Richie's vocals. This isn't the complete Commodores, but it does provide a nice sampling of their work which spanned more than a decade. It has instrumental funk tracks, disco era staples and some of the best ballads of the late Motown era. One of the real highlights is the Commodores tribute to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson in Nightshift, which came several years after Richie left the band. It doesn't have everything, but there is a lot to like for anybody that is even a minor fan of the Commodores and you can't expect much more at this bargain price.

One Hit After Another

This CD is for anybody that grew up listening to Bob Seger or people who just want to become familiar with the artist. For more than a decade, his songs were on the radio all the time. Like A Rock was also featured in one of the longest commercial campaigns of all time. This CD has most of his big hits. It doesn't include one of his biggest, Shakedown, which was from the Beverly Hills Cop 2 soundtrack.
