Will the subwoofer work if hidden behind the couch facing the tv?

Are there speaker stands available for the rear satellite speakers?
Yes, Best Buy and many other retailers sell stands and mounts. Standard surround mounts fit.

HDMI Issue
My TV doesn't not have HDMI ARC, so i plugged the included HDMI into what appears to be a regular HDMI port on the TV, but soundbar doesnt play. I then plugged the digital cable in to both devices, which worked. I can live with the digital cord audio, but is there a solution that I should try for the best quality from HDMI?
You'll have to get a newer tv. I have an older tv too, so hdmi is a no go.
