A Whole New Technology

I haven't owned this machine for a long time as to be sure of giving it the highest rank, however so far so excellent. I still don't understand how this machines can wash this good without the agitator but the clothes came out clean and smelling good. I haven't tried all the features and all the cycles yet so will see, but I think it will go OK. One thing I learned is that before using the washer and even after being installed by the delivery crew, you have to come with a level to check the machine is really horizontally and vertically at 90 degrees, if not it will become unbalanced making a lot of noise and of course severe damage may occur. I'm almost 5' 10" but my wife is only 5, therefore she really needs a little stepstool as she is unable to reach the bottom of the drum without it, which I don't care as I have been able to wash my comforters at home for first time (my previous washers were never bigger than 3.4 CF but this one at 4.8... is great! In sum, both my wife and I are enjoying our new acquisition and the price was incredibly good. Go for it, very recommended (so far). I would not recommend this only to a friend but to everybody. One more thing, do not expect miracles, as in my opinion and experience I don't know about any conventional washer (for home use, old or new technology without being extremely expensive) that can fully clean and item excessively dirt like automotive grease, heavy grass stains, paint, etc.

whining Whirlpool dryer
I have a whirlpool dryer that when you start it after it has been sitting for awhile it has a high pitched whining noise that stops after a few seconds?
This is not normal, it is a sign of wear and deterioration, still the machine works but the drum will be unable to operate eventually. When? Tomorrow in 6 months, one more year, hard to say.

How do you cancel and drain a cylce that has already started?
I had to do it the first time I turned on the machine as I tried to do the calibration, which requires 3 buttons pressed at the same time, which I did not do right as the machine started a washing cycle. I cannot remember exactly what I did but if I'm not mistaken I pressed pause and change the knob to spin, then the machine starts spinning and draining all the water in. Worst scenario, you pause it then turn off then turn on again and select Spin. I know some dishwasher machines have a cancel button, which I haven't seen in washing machines.
