Cheaper choice over 3DS

Worth it if you don’t think you’d use the 3D features of the other models. Just watch out if you want to play games that require the “New 2/3DS” the new 2DS will run you about $150 while the new 3DS will be $200.
Also check the box on the systems before buying, i picked up an AC Adaptor as I thought they all stopped coming with them, this one does so i ended up returning that. I have an older 3DS with eventually the right shoulder button got stuck and i failed to fix it myself, so i have an AC Adaptor somewhere just don’t know where at the moment. If you need that it will run you an extra $15, though i doubt it would’ve costed Nintendo much to just include it.
Only thing I’d say about this 2DS is how it doesn’t fold for portability, but just put it in a different carrying case, i know they had a program where it could function as a pedometer and the streetpass feature, used to use that on the old one when going to events where i know people would have their systems, but it isn’t a big loss, isn’t worth me paying over $100 when this was $80. And you realize as an adult you play the game more at home if you aren’t riding as passenger often on long trips or daily commutes and driving yourself, and work breaks never seem long enough to get into that stuff, what’s when we use our phones or read the paper or something lol minus the time it takes to get your food on breaks.

Was feeling the nostalgia with this game. Was on the fence with the $100 msrp, though it is/was on sale Black Friday (early access deals were for my Best Buy/elite members) $70 ($55 for GCU members), after using $5 rewards offsetting NY tax and the remaining $23 on a gift card (from a trade) I paid $30 onto my Best Buy credit card. Can't go wrong at that price plus a free, suppose to be normally $20 mic. I was a bit leery on the switch from 5 notes across to the 3 and 3 top/bottom, it actually isn't too bad. A little different for those of us GH vets. The most expensive part is needing the guitar again. The GHTV is a cool feature too to be able to jump in online to whatever song is playing at the moment.
If you don't have the GCU (20% off new games) do yourself a favor and pay the $30/2yrs for it. On this it will pay off. I saved $15 off of the already Black Friday $70 price. Probably save $20 off of $100 so you already almost break even and go uphill from there. $60 games will drop to $47.99.
All in all, great purchase and I'd recommend this. Rock band is great too but then there's the fact I switched consoles (PS3-Xbox one) so my songs don't transfer unless I had a ps4, and needing all new controllers instead of keeping those in the same family too. This seems like a more affordable choice at the moment and the GHTV so far seems to replace DLC a little.
Also it came with a $10 off Skylanders Superchargers coupon good through 1/31/16, probably give that away to someone to use for their kids in time for the holidays.

Great game for the next-gen consoles

Played a bit of borderlands 2 back on ps3, since switching over to an xbox one this generation I was interested in playing the Pre-Sequel, I figured for the price of getting it on ps3 i may as well just spend the extra money to get both of the games on the xbox one. Haven't gotten too far into it yet, but its a pretty good game so far.
