I bought this to cool down my laptop that recently got very hot after I upgrade the memory. The cooling pad did it job and coll down the laptop significantly. I can now use the lap top for a few hour without shutdown itself.
The only thing I think this cool pad can improve is the fan location.
It sit in the middle of the pad. For most laptop that is not the hottest spot.
Maybe an adjustable mechanism can make this more efficient
