Well Optimized for a Specific Task (Gaming)
With the introduction of the new Intel Z890 Chipset, comes an industry wide slew of new motherboards to put it to use. The new crop of motherboards, range from the more basic, up to full blown powerhouses that squeeze every drop of performance out of the Z890 CPU family. The Asus TUF Gaming Z890-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard, lands somewhere in the middle of that group, leaning towards gaming and rugged dependability. The general look is somewhat industrial, but the presence of very large heat sinks and LOTS of legacy Sockets and Ports for those components, both older and newest, bodes well for its durability and future proofing. All in 1 Without Any Compromise
on December 4, 2024

- As someone who has invested in air purifiers, space heaters, portable AC units… the idea of a 3-in-1 product was enticing and the Blueair ComfortPure delivered. I am also thrilled that this will be a year round staple, rather than having to rotate and store various heating and cooling devices through the seasons. Power and aesthetically pleasing. I appreciate that it is slick in design but doesn’t bring too much attention because I am not a fan of the clutter of electronics.
FEATURES:
- 3 features in 1 machine: purifying, cooling and heating
- Full rotating oscillation to cover your entire space
- Control via the device, app & remote control
- Set your routine and preferences by setting temps, times, and more.
- Precise. Choose your own angles, intensity, etc, that works for you
- Sleek, aestheic design
- 5 fan speeds
- Shows you what the air quality is in your room
INCLUDES:
- Remote
- App
PROS:
- Sleek, aesthetic design
- Speedy heat up and cool down
- Whether you are heating or cooling, you are always purifying. As someone who had multiple devices to do each of these things, the multifunctional/multitasking natural is a huge plus
- A plus that it can loop into my Alexa home system and be controlled via Alexa/Google Home
- Covers a pretty large open area (my living room + dining room zone)
- Easy set up via app
- Dimmable screen (good for when using it at night/in sleeping area)
- Has helped with my dust and pet dander allergies
- Eco mode option
CONS:
- On max speed, it can be a little loud for some, but I don’t mind it since it sounds like more a white noise, especially at night.
CONCLUSION:
A high end, high efficiency solution to keeping your space purified, heated and cooled, throughout the seasons. I highly recommend this efficient yet powerful device for all your comfort needs, all year round.

A Relatively Powerful yet Compact System
on November 18, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
My wife travels frequently giving seminars and has to be very presentable at the front of the room while going from city to city in one week. For her birthday this year, I thought I would get her a hair care system that wasn’t as bulky or heavy as the one she uses at home. I’m familiar with Shark products, so I decided to stick with that brand. After she used it a couple of times, I asked her for an honest opinion. The general reply I got, was that it does a good job considering its weight and size. Both are very important when traveling between multiple cities and setting it up in various hotels. It’s good at drying hair but can be noticeably noisy at the high settings. It comes with all the expected attachments and each one of them functions well from drying to styling to curling.
FEATURES:
· Main body rotates/swivels from drier to styler.
· Length of A/C Cord, 8 feet
· Includes “Finishing Tool” to add a high-gloss shine after drying.
· Styles wet hair with no heat damage.
· Re-styles dry hair without re-washing.
· Hi velocity flow for drying with less heat.
· Styling Concentrator for spot air styling where you want it.
· Measures and regulates output temperature 1000 times per second so it never exceeds 230 Degrees F.
· 1.25 inch diameter Auto-wrap Curlers.
· 2-year Limited Warranty
PROS:
· Attachments give lots of versatility.
· Can take you from quite wet to properly dried hair without switching devices.
CONS:
- Of course you can’t dry without heat, but use with care. Even with what they call “Scalp Shield”, it gets pretty hot at Hi settings. Use common sense and you should be OK.
- Quite noisy at Hi fan settings. Could wake some people up in a small dorm.
- I wish it came with a large Diffuser and a carrying case.
CONCLUSION:
I consider it to be a travel system. In this case, low weight and bulk, but good performance was very important and under those criteria, it does very well.

More Powerful with Each Version
on October 31, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
Amateur photography is an enjoyable at worldwide hobby. This is a program suited for good hobby use. It’s fun to take regular casual pictures and turn them into a piece of art or memes, with the AI power of program like this. Another important but unappreciated feature of amateur photography is its usefulness in the future for helping historians and genealogists to find out what made the past tick. If this kind of entry-level program causes more people to tag their photos and share them with family members for future use, it’s done its job.
FEATURES:
· A Powerful AI works in the background preparing your files for affects you might want to use.
· Displayed interface is suited for simpler tasks and needs of more casual users.
· Slight motion can be added to still photos for interesting displays.
· AI makes it simple and quick to remove objects from photos
· Elements of multiple photos can be combined into one photo.
· The AI makes it easy to change the color of any object in the original photo.
· Has features to prepare your photos for ideal display in web and mobile apps.
· Apparent Depth of Field can be altered easily with the help of AI
· Textures can be added to photos.
· Create Photo Reels and collages of your photo collections
PROS:
· Easy to get used to by those familiar with resent versions of Adobe Elements
· With some reworking of your old digital photo files (Tags, Etc.), you can make them much more searchable and dynamic.
CONS:
- After purchase, your access to this program will end after 3 years. Never ending subscription models are a reliable source of income for corporations, but bad for consumers in my opinion.
- Hard to get used to by those only familiar with versions of Adobe Elements from 10 or more years ago.
CONCLUSION:
Our photos often represent our family history. In the recent past family photos were either stored in carefully organized and labeled photo albums, or stuffed into a shoe box stored in the back of a closet. Either of these were too often lost in a fire or flood. We now have digital versions of our photos stored on some company’s cloud. The good news is, that they are not subject to the problems that can occur to physical media in a house, but they still need to be organized. Programs like Photoshop Elements 2025 have many features that make the preservation, organizing and spreading of your family history much easier and therefore likely to occur. This version of Elements is more for the amateur than it is for the professional, but there is an important need for that kind of program.

A Specialized Cleaning System
on October 17, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
The Shark StainStriker HairPro Pet has been a godsend for our household. Having an elderly cat and small children running around, our furniture and carpeting take a beating. I’ve used upholstery cleaning products before, and even just a spray and some elbow grease to clean up messes, but it has come to the point where it just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Enter the StainStriker, and Strike is does! The unit is very easy to use, instructions are clear, and it does not have a billion individual pieces like some units do. It has three removable pieces; the main input tank, the secondary input tank for cleaning fluids and the outflow tank. All of them come free easily with a swift pull and reattach just as easily. The suction is strong and the sprayer releases just the right amount of cleaner, so it doesn’t completely soak your upholstery. The used water was almost black, which shows how much dirt it truly pulls up. The couch definitely smelled fresher afterwards! The unit wraps up nice and compact, so it is easy to tuck away in our front closet. It’s much easier to use in small spaces than the large cumbersome upright models.
FEATURES:
· Comes with unique heads for specific stains
· Length of A/C Cord, 12 feet
· Length of Hose, 4.5 feet
· “Hairpro” technology designed to pick up deeply embedded strands of hair
· Focus is on stain removal, using dual-activated wet solutions. Comes with two sample solutions.
· Clears Stubborn Odors like smoke and pet urine
· Extremely high suction power
· Lightweight and compact. Can be conveniently stored away for later quick access.
· Has large storage tank for quickly picking up accidental spills.
· 3-year Limited Warranty
PROS:
· Extremely high suction power. Really lifts and deep cleans whatever you’re cleaning.
· Easy to deploy.
CONS:
- Extremely high suction power. Yes, this “PRO” can also be a “CON”. If you’re not reasonably careful, this suction and the scrubbing brushes can dislodge fibers from delicate fancy carpets and actually create a thin spot.
- I wish it came with a mounting bracket of some sort, so I could mount it on the closet wall near the door instead of bending down to search for it on the cluttered floor.
CONCLUSION:
Unlike tedious general whole carpet cleaning, the Shark StainStriker is targeted at messes that MUST be cleaned up. It’s ALMOST fun to see the Before-During-and-After results as they occur, sort of like Pressure Washing. I’m ALMOST looking forward to pulling it out again and do some serious deep cleaning.

· Works with Google Hub for easy integration into automated home control.

· Allows a wide range of lighting effects
· Easy to install and control.
· White LEDs in strip give a much brighter white than strips that only combine RGB LEDs to get white.
· Can be shortened with scissors (at specific marked spots) if excess length needs removal for a neat uncluttered installation.

- Cannot be lengthened.

The Philips Hue 16-foot Solo Light Strip can change the look and feel of any room. Programming in the phone app can have the strip come on or off and in any color or brightness during the evening or night to provide safety lighting through the house.

Is your Wife Starting to Mumble like Mine Did?
on August 5, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
When my friends and I got together for a game of cards in the past few years, I began to notice that the topic of Wife Mumbling (instead of speaking clearly like she used to), began to come up more and more frequently. Turns out, IT WAS US! Now days, (when we’re desperate for a new topic), conversations about hearing aids and hearing test results have started. Because we live in a rural area rather far from services that most people take for granted, the issue of how long and time consuming a drive to an audiologist is. Because I was (for the first time in my life), curious about hearing aids, the sight of a Jabra Hearing-Aid being included in the Best Buy website caught my eye. Because the whole issue of hearing loss starts with hearing tests, I envisioned the old days of sitting in a sound proof booth with an audiologist fiddling with buttons and dials as I lifted my finger when I could hear the various frequency and loudness tones. I was very skeptical of the idea of ordering hearing aids for delivery and then getting a genuine hearing test and professional consultation online.
It works though. Here’s how they do it. First, they ship the hearing aids to you with a generic frequency setup that allows you to get used to the fit and feel. You’ll then establish an online account, so you can communicate with them. They had several good videos that you’ll be able to access to answer general questions and get ready for the hearing test. While you’re online in your account, you’ll see a button that says “Take Hearing Test” when you're ready. You don’t need any human contact to do this. It’s available to you 24/7. With a good set of earphones (normally used to listen to online music), I simply pressed the “Take Hearing Test” button. Then at my own pace, I was prompted to press a tone/frequency button and press Yes if I could hear a tone, and No if I couldn’t. At first, I couldn’t hear anything, but then as the frequency was lowered each time, I was eventually able to press Yes. It went very smoothly. After a couple of days, I received an email telling me my test had been evaluated. A Zoom call with the audiologist was scheduled. Before that meeting, they changed the frequency settings on my hearing aids with an over-the-air update. One morning I noticed immediately that it had changed, as everything sounded crisper. My App screen changed too, so I could switch back between the new settings and the original, as many times as I wanted. Another call was scheduled with my assigned audiologist, who I had Zoom called earlier. We discussed what their findings were, what they did, and what my feelings good or bad were about the changes. They did not rush me and thoroughly answered all my questions and offered suggestions that didn’t occur to me at first. For example, they original package had included a measuring device which you hold to your ear while you have the hearing-aid installed. You then position yourself so the audiologist can see it using your phone or laptop’s camera. After viewing the fit, the audiologist recommended and sent at no charge, two microphone sections with longer wires, so that the microphone went into my ear deeper and much more securely. They included these at no charge. They also encouraged contacting them anytime during their working hours. They will help you get the best fit and results.
I’ve read other reviews by people complaining about the tininess of the sound produced. You need to remember that these are not music listening devices. What these do is amplify the specific frequencies your ears no longer hear well. Suddenly you’ll notice all of the high frequencies you haven’t heard for years. You’ll hear noises like people jiggling keys, stacking chips at the card table, the sound of air conditioners, sirens, screaming jet engines and yes, relatively unpleasant high-pitched voices compared to how they sounded when everything was low frequency and slightly muffled. The audiologist will warn you that you have to get used to it and give the hearing-aids a chance to do their intended job. Wearing hearing aids is not like hearing beautiful music through high end earbuds or earphones. It is going to make you hear sounds you haven’t heard in years and it will sound relatively high pitched. Because I’m not completely acclimatized to my Jabras, I must admit that at the end of the day, if nobody else is around that I have to understand and listen to, I will remove them and put them back on their charger, so I am once again surrounded by that lower frequency muffled sound that is much less jarring. The real world is sometimes unpleasantly noisy. However, the good news is that suddenly my wife has stopped mumbling so much! I guess that’s makes it all worth it
FEATURES:
· Micro size
· Best hearing in noise
· True depth of sound
· Advanced acoustics
· Hands-free phone calls * (on phones with latest Bluetooth hardware)
· Bluetooth streaming * (on phones with latest Bluetooth hardware)
· Bluetooth LE Audio * (on phones with latest Bluetooth hardware)
· Tap Control * (on phones with latest Bluetooth hardware)
· Includes a strong carrying case with enough battery power itself to recharge the ear pieces at least three times with normal use. Can be used in isolated areas to extend use with no external power sources.
* Note: The Jabra website includes lists of phone makes and models that allow full functionality with advanced Bluetooth. My old phone does not allow the advanced functionality, like hands free phone calls etc., but it still works as an excellent hearing aid. Core App functions like adjusting volume and frequency sensitivity still work.
PROS:
· Micro-size makes them very discrete when worn, even with a bare head and ears.
· “Soundscape” sound technology optimizes noisy factory/concert environments or quieter settings like the home.
· Rated IP68 for water, sweat and dust resistance.
· Comes with Cleaning devices and many consumable parts like dust filters and ear buds of different sizes.
· Risk free 100-day free trial and up to 3-year warranty with free parts replacement.
· 3-year loss and damage protection.
CONS:
- App and website are still under development.
CONCLUSION:
Most of us will face hearing loss as we get older. The Risk-free 100-day free trial makes the Jabra 500 a choice to at least give hearing aids a try. At the very least, with the results of a “all’s good” hearing test, you can prove to your wife once and for all that she really IS Mumbling 😉.

A Great Small Office Printer Choice
on June 22, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw printer $449.99
The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw printer is a multifunction printer designed primarily for small offices and workgroups that require color printing capabilities. Here’s my small business owner’s review based on its features and performance:
Pros:
Print Quality:
It offers excellent print quality, especially for color documents. Text is sharp, and colors are vibrant, making it suitable for professional documents and marketing materials.
Speed:
I found this printer to be reasonably fast for its class, with speeds up to 21 pages per minute. for both color and monochrome prints. This ensures efficiency in a small office environment.
Multifunction Capability:
It combines printing, scanning, copying, and faxing in one device, which is convenient for small businesses like mine (without a lot of open space), looking to consolidate their office equipment.
Wireless Connectivity:
Supports wireless printing via Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, as well as mobile phone printing through Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and HP ePrint. This makes it easy to print from various devices without needing a direct connection.
Paper Handling:
It has a 250-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output bin, suitable for moderate printing volumes. It also supports automatic duplex printing, saving paper and time.
Security Features:
Includes basic security features such as password-protected printing and secure erase of print jobs, which is essential for sensitive documents.
Cons:
Size and Weight:
It's relatively bulky and heavy compared to some competitors in its class, which may be a consideration if space is limited in your office.
Running Costs:
As with many laser printers, the cost per page can be higher compared to inkjet printers, especially for color prints. However, this is common among laser printers and expected for the quality they deliver.
User Interface:
Some of my staff found the touchscreen interface a bit small and less intuitive compared to higher-end models. Navigation through menus could be improved for better user experience.
Overall Impression:
The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw is a solid choice for small offices like mine needing reliable color printing and multifunction capabilities. It excels in print quality and speed, though it may not be the most compact or cost-effective option in terms of running costs. If your office requires consistent color prints and multifunctionality without the need for ultra-high print volumes, this printer would be a suitable investment. Always consider your specific needs regarding print volume, space, and budget before making a final decision.

Born to GAME
on June 18, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
Initial Impressions:
It can handle games better than my desktop. This is a portable gaming laptop with a sleek look and a lot of power behind it.
Features / Specs:
● Screen: 16" FHD, 165Hz
● Processor: Intel 13th Gen Core i7
● Memory: 16GB
● Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
● Storage: 512GB SSD
● Color: Eclipse Gray
Performance:
This laptop is a powerhouse. Whether you're diving into long gaming sessions or tackling heavy-duty tasks, the combination of the Intel 13th Gen Core i7 and RTX 4070 GPU makes everything run smoothly.
Display:
For me, the 16-inch Full HD screen is a great size to game and watch videos on. The colors pop and the 165Hz refresh rate is great for any fast-paced game. It’s smooth and responsive, but it's not very bright. It also doesn’t dim as low as I would like.
Design:
I like the Eclipse Gray finish and the dotted design. It looks sleek, subtle and stylish without screaming "gamer". Plus, it's surprisingly light and thin for such a powerhouse. Small enough to toss in a medium sized bag and take anywhere.
Features:
The keyboard comes with customizable RGB lighting, which adds a fun touch. It's got all the ports you need: HDMI, 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C, Headphone Jack, Ethernet port, and power lock. The cooling system keeps everything running cool, even during long gaming sessions, but it does create a bit of noise (not much of a problem to me)
Battery Life:
For a gaming laptop, the battery life is pretty decent—around 8 hours depending on what you're doing. It's enough to get through a day of work or school with some gaming breaks in between, though you'll want to plug in for those longer gaming sessions.
Pros:
● Powerful Intel 13th Gen Core i7 processor
● NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU
● Good looking 165Hz refresh rate display
● Sleek design
● Portable enough to bring in a bag
● Customizable RGB keyboard
● The track-pad feels smooth to glide on.
● The screen opens up around 180 degrees, basically standing vertically straight up.
Cons:
● Heavy gaming use battery life could stand to be longer.
● Fan can be noisy.
● The keyboard feels a bit squishy. I personally prefer mechanical keyboards.
● The track-pad tactile press needs a lot of force to use, but there is also the touch press.
Extra Details:
● I have the M1 16” Mac Book pro and this is about the same weight and size, just a little bit thicker.
● The Charging port is on the middle-left side. I would prefer to have the port more towards the back to have less wire hanging out.
● The screen brightness is decent, but I wish it could dim further down for dark space operation.
● Comes with a decent but bulky 240W charger.
Wish-list:
● Higher resolution screen / OLED / HDR
● Quieter Fans
● Larger internal SSD space, (at least 1TB).
General Thoughts: (overall)
If you consider yourself a gamer and want a laptop that delivers powerful performance without sacrificing style or portability, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is a great choice. It’s an investment, but you're getting premium features and performance that can handle anything you throw at it. This can keep you gaming happily for years to come.

Noise Canceling Headphones with Unique Features
on June 8, 2024
Posted by: Daddio
With more of us working from home, we find ourselves in a make-shift “Office” trying to communicate via Video Chat over a Laptop with a washing machine or kids nearby. This makes Noise Cancelling Headphones with Bluetooth connection like the Sonos 5024DG Ace model, a real growing consumer electronics segment. They can also help preserve our hearing when using noisy lawnmowers and other yard equipment. I ran my riding mower with the Ace and found that the noise cancelling was better than my older high-end noise cancelling headphones. However, to stand-out in this crowded segment, Sonos has given this headphone a feature I’ve never experienced before. After set-up (IF you own an iPhone), the simple press of a button instantly pairs this headphone with my Sonos Arc Home Theater Sound-bar attached to my friend’s TV. The Arc sound-bar is immediately silenced, cancelling the noises from the action movie for other family members. The Arc soundbar and the Ace headphones have sensors that compliment each other for advanced features like head tracking for more realistic Surround Sound immersion. I’ve seen other reviews that criticize the lack of audio “Punch” from the Sonos Ace. I listen mostly to podcasts with mostly speech. I find the emphasis on more clear neutral sound enhances my kind of listening as I cut the grass.
Features:
- 30 hours of Noise Cancelling use per charge.
- Weight 11 ounces
- Hands Free Phone Calls.
- Physical Volume and other controls on headset.
- Bluetooth 5.4 codecs mean extended battery life
PROS:
- Excellent Noise Cancelling performance (better than my big brand name units)
- Mechanical buttons, not touch type. (Easier to access and use by feel)
- Good Battery Life (30 hrs. of Noise Cancelling use claimed)
CONS:
- No AC Charger Included
- Ear-cups Interior Space is Relatively Small which cramps my ears after extended use.
- Apple-centric design means Android-phone users can’t access all Ace- Headphone to Arc-soundbar connection features
Conclusion:
The Sonos Ace noise cancelling headphones are overall a “good” set audio wise, but the features that make it a functioning parts of the large Sonos audio family make it unique.

Does this work with Time Warner

In my area north of Tampa, Time Warner became Bright House and is now Spectrum. If your area had the same progression of name changes and buy-outs, it should work as it does here for Spectrum.

High Performance Computer and Electronics UPS for Premium Power ProtectionThe Back-UPS Pro family offers guaranteed power protection for high performance computer systems, routers/modems, external storage devices, game consoles and other electronics in your home or business. These UPSs supply electronics with abundant battery backup during outages and stabilize unsafe voltage levels. They also provide power protection from damaging surges and spikes, and allow the use of management software so you get the most out of your UPS. Premium features of this family may include Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), an LCD display, Smart Outlets, energy saving functions that reduce electricity use, network manageability, Watchdog, or configurable outlets. Together with the rest of the Back-UPS Pro's standard features, they are the perfect choice to protect your data and keep your system available.

how long will this run with a wifi modem and router plugged into it?

The APC Pro 1350VA would be overkill for such a relatively tiny load of one Wi-Fi Modem and one typical Router. As the model number implies this UPC can output 1350 Volt Amps. If your devices have a wattage listed, you can take the volts (probably 120) and see how many times your device's amps divide into that number. If you purchase one of APS's models in this line (they range from 1100 VA to 1500 VA), the included software run on a PC will tell you how long the UPS will output 120 volts when your Wi-Fi Modem and Router are actually plugged in and under load. It will probably be several hours. As an example the power consumption of my home theater is fairly high. It includes a 75” TV, an Xbox One X, a Denon AVR-S730H Receiver pushing a 5.2.2 Surround system, a Western Digital NAS and a 10” and a 15” Powered Woofer. When plugged in to the UPS and under load, the PC program tells me it can maintain that load from the battery for 45 minutes.

Bring the sounds of the movies to your home with these Sony Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. The compact size fits neatly on top of your existing tower speakers for an easy way to upgrade your sound system. Mica-reinforced cellular cones reduce distortion, while the MDF cabinets absorb vibrations for better playback. These Sony Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers offer surround sound capabilities for an immersive listening experience.

Hi, Can these be used on their own (without other speakers) for sound for a small room?

They certainly can be used for sound in small room, but they are designed in such a way that placing them in a way that doesn't aim the sound towards the ceiling is awkward. Using them alone would not give you "Atmos" sound, but having their sound traveling to the ceiling and reflecting downwards without being timed and controlled by an Atmor decoding audio receiver, might give you a weaker or slightly echoing effect, depending on the shape of your listening room.

Why does the light on my earphones turn purple and not connect to my phone anymore via Bluetooth? They were charging and stuff but aren't connecting

The flashing purple/blue LED on your earbuds is only telling you that the earbuds are ready and TRYING to pair (connect) with anything within range that can potentially pair with. Turn on the Bluetooth Pairing function of your phone and see if your phone can see/recognize your earbuds. Sometimes Bluetooth devices can only connect with each other if both of them are in the active seeking mod.

Add music to your day with these Sony wireless headphones. Their noise cancelling technology uses artificial intelligence to adapt to your environment and reduce background sounds for enjoyable listening. The Quick Charging battery on these over-ear Sony wireless headphones provides up to 35 hours of playback for convenience.

I said I have an ipod with a cord and asked if I could fit it in headphones that are wireless or cordless but you said the cord would fit in I'm asking would the ipod fit in the headphones by itself without connecting cords

If the model iPod you have is capable of broadcasting in Bluetooth, then you do not need the provided mini-jack cord. However, if your iPod does not connect/pair to other devices the way that smart phones do, then you will have to use the cord to get the signal into the Headphones.

Is the Sony better than the Bose quiet ll When it come s to noised

I THINK you're asking about the Noise Reduction feature. I have Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II Headphones and the Sony WH-CH700N Headphones. Using them while cutting grass or leaf blowing, I find that the Bose reduces a much wider frequency of sounds and gives you a cleaner version of the sound you want to hear (Podcast, Music, Etc.) at the same time. I found that when using the Sony I had to adjust the Podcast's volume much higher than I wanted to, to hear the Podcast voices over the lawnmower noise. It should be considered though that the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 is MUCH more expensive than the Sony WH-CH700N. You get what you pay for.

Enjoy crisp 4K images and dazzling color on this Sony HDR Ultra TV, featuring a wide 75-inch screen that's ideal for home theaters. Full-array local dimming and boosting ensures a clear picture, and hidden cable routing makes for a seamless setup. This Sony HDR Ultra TV is compatible with PlayStation Vue to eliminate your cable bill.

What I the weight?

The original Sony packing box that my Sony - 75" Class 900E came in, says the Gross weight is "47 Kg" on the side. That's 104 lbs. in real measurement. The actual
TV is a few pounds lighter and if you're wondering what it's like to lift it up to mount it on the wall, Two old retired fogies (my neighbor and I) were able to lift it into the wall mount bracket with no problem.

I am considering buying the 75" 900e. Is the internet required? I really don't want a Smart TV, or really a connection to the internet. I only want the TV to watch regular Direct TV channels, Netflix, and a Blue Ray that plays videos and DVDs. Thank you

Like you, the "Smart TV" features were of no interest to me as I turned my Sony - 75" Class (74.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range on for the first time. That meant I had to plow through dozens of screens asking me to enter my google account (I don't have one) and other information to access the Smart features. After a few minutes of that I managed to get to the end of the set-up process and it hasn't asked me again since. I would recommend though that if you can, you should hook the TV up to the internet just once. That way you can receive the inevitable TV software operating system "Updates" that are sometime needed to make the TV operate properly. It's just the way it is nowadays. Because they expect "everyone" to have access to the internet, manufacturers are more willing to ship new products that really aren't fully tested or developed. As you know, it takes months for some of them to get from the factory to the home, so getting it on the water as fast as possible seems like a more important thing that perfecting the software. I also think they use the early adopters of models to do quality testing for them. If enough of us complain of some operating problem, they can make the change and send it to us over the internet later.

With a very fast internet connection, it still took about five minutes or so for my Sony 900E to update before fully operating for the first time. It was worth it though. It's a great TV.

Tilt or extend your television for maximum viewing enjoyment with this Sanus Advanced Tilt TV wall mount. Able to support up to 150 pounds of weight, this mount can easily handle flat screen televisions up to 90 inches. Click, lock and release on this Sanus Advanced Tilt TV wall mount let you find a viewing angle and secure it.

The find a mount search indicates this is a proper mount for my Panasonic TCP58VT25. The TV user manual shows a 500x300 VESA pattern, but this doesn't show as supported under the mount specs. Am I just misunderstanding the specs? Please clarify.

As with most TV mounts, this one has plenty of mounting options to accommodate a wide range of TV makes and sizes. On the vertical axis there are multiple slots and holes in the brackets to line up with the vertical distance between the mounting holes on hundreds of TV makes, models and sizes. On the horizontal axis, the two vertical rails once mounted to the TV, can hook anywhere on the wall mount hook-rail. The only limitation is if the width between the rails once mounted on the TV can't be greater than the width of the section of the mount screwed to the wall. That is why there are limits to how big a TV each make and model TV Wall Mount can handle. This one goes up to 100" class TVs. This mounting system comes with a large variety of screws and plastic spacers to cope with the variety of TVs. A TV manufacturer would have to work very hard to deliberately design the hole pattern on the back of their TV that this mounting system can't accommodate. It fit my 75" Sony Bravia 900E perfectly.

Where is this TV manufactured?

The label on my 75" 900E's box says it was manufactured in Mexico.
