Great movie, solid packaging

This has become one of my favorite Disney movies. The characters are likable and interesting. The world in which it takes place, based on Polynesian culture and mythology, was extremely fascinating. The special featurette on how they researched the film brought a lot of depth and understanding.

Bought this to go with my Playstation VR. Does what it's supposed to do. The VR works great.
Some things to keep in mind: 1) it's sensitive to the vertical mounting height. Too low and you're represented as tall in the VR app, too high and you're represented as short in the VR app. Getting it just the right height can be a problem though - especially if you have a large TV - as the optimal height is right where your screen is. This means you have to have it a little low or a little high; this isn't a big deal - just giving you a heads up. 2) Mounting can be tricky because if your TV is wall mounted you probably won't have a shelf to set it on. Pro tip: buy one of those suction-cup cell-phone holders for your car and mount that to the bezel of your TV. Works like a charm. If you have a low-bezel TV, you'll just have to be creative. However, if you're using the camera for VR, it doesn't really matter because you can just stick it to the TV. It's not like you'll see it anyway (what with having a VR headset on).

Terrific Movie

As a movie, it is excellent. It's rollicking, it's got personality, it's got its own distinct visual style, the characters are memorable and likable, it's got a few emotional beats. Most of all, it's just really entertaining.

I like that it doesn't use batteries but the thing is kinda weird. Unlike your typical on/off switch in which you intuitively expect that the thing toggles the light on and off - well, it ain't like that. You have four programmable buttons that you can make do one particular thing. You have three buttons, then the whole entire unit also acts as a giant button. I wanted to have the whole thing toggle such that I click the giant button, the light turns on, click it again, and the light turns off. Nope. What made the most sense was to have the giant button turn off, with the other three set to various presets.
Oh, also, on the iPhone the software has options that are below screen that require you to scroll up. This is not at all obvious as there is no scroller widget or anything. I struggled with this forever.
Anyway, yeah, it works but it's weird and does not seem entirely thought out in terms of usability.

I'm pretty jaded by shooters so I bought this only out of curiosity and loyalty to old school game studio id. I was shocked at how much fun this game turned out to be. I absolutely love it. The special edition stuff is nice but it's annoying that there doesn't seem to be any way to turn off the revenant's lights beyond just pulling the batteries. Other than that, it's cool as all get out.

A very cool product, but it is very annoying that you can only operate your lights with a) an app on your phone or b) by purchasing an additional physical switch for another SIXTY DOLLARS! Everything works fine but you'd better be absolutely certain having colored lights are really important to you cuz, wow, are they expensive.
