The second season of former "Sopranos" writer Terence Winter's Prohibition-era drama opens in January 1921, as Atlantic City political boss Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) eyes a real-estate bonanza when it comes to access to the seaside resort, but has his hands full trying to play peacemaker after Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) has a run-in with the KKK. Nucky isn't alone, however, and gets a new right-hand man following a trip to Ireland in IRA soldier Owen Sleater (Charlie Cox), who takes an ill-advised shine to Margaret (Kelly Macdonald)--and the feeling is mutual. Meanwhile, Nelson (Michael Shannon) shows his wife, Rose (Enid Graham), around town on a weekend visit; Jimmy (Michael Pitt) mulls career advice from the Commodore (Dabney Coleman) and forges a relationship with Philadelphia gangster Manny Horvitz (William Forsythe); and Al Capone (Stephen Graham) looks to expand the illegal-booze business in and around Chicago.
