This cover is the type that the iPad snaps into and that makes it a lot easier to hold on to. It does put the device to sleep however it took a little breaking in before the top would lay flat, it was a little stiff at first . I' m happy with it and would recommend it.

This has usual Apple quality and setup was seamless,no complaints there. The only problem is the majority of channels advertised require a cable account to access. If I had cable why would I need this? I nearly returned it but I can watch youtube and PBS plus I have a Netflix acct. I didn't expect to watch sports channels etc. free but I thought I would be able to view things like History channel even ABC CBS etc. require a cable subscription.
