Despicable Me 2 follows up the first movie with more family fun and character development. While the plot feels a bit thin from the get go, the characters we know and love bring us back into their world. As the story progresses, we see that Gru has become even more attached to the kids and goes out of his way to make them happy while coping with standard fatherly issues that arise with girls. Overall, am amazing sequel with great family ideals delicately placed along the way.

Back to the basics

Ever since Pitch Black, I have loved watching the evolution of Riddick through the three movies. You see his raw, animal side at the start and then the slow adaptation to his surroundings to meet his needs. In this installment, we see Riddick go back to that side and decide to stay that way. It's a good fit for his character and even though we still see his character grow. The only difference is he grows more towards that raw side of himself. We see his his possible last break of companionship with the introduction of the animal sidekick. The plot is a little weak at the start but it helps tie everything together across the three movies. His personal development is what feels like the focus of this movie which will lead to his search for his home in the coming follow up(s) I assume. Overall, this is the Riddick I want to see more of.

What's not so great: Some of the humorous situations seemed forced

Amazing sound for 2.1

While I know that Klipsch is a great quality speaker, I was honestly surprised by the amazing sound that came out. For only 200 watts, the bass hits hard (I've had complaints from people on the 3rd floor of where I live), and the treble is on par with it. Having connections on the side of the main speaker is awesome for headphones as well as feeding other devices into the speaker system.
