Not good for networks with multiple routers

I have a network with two routers. One is configured as a gateway and the second is serving as a wireless access point and hub for my devices on a separate floor of my house. My access point router died and I so I tried to replace it with this one. I tried for hours to get it to work and it just refused to work the same way in my network as the Netgear unit it replaced. I took this unit back and exchanged it for an Asus router at the same price. The Asus router is only 802.11n, not 802.11ac, but I had it setup and working perfectly on my network in about 10 minutes. So far, so good on the Asus router...
I think this router would work out just fine on a network with a single router. The basic setup options a simple to understand and configure and digging into the advanced options gives a lot of options for manual configuration too.

Typical mouse pad material. Foam rubber (neoprene?) base with a cloth top surface. Nothing too special there beyond the XL size of the pad.

Will this item be compatible with a Gateway device on a Honeywell Prestige thermostat. Home uses a Verizon mobile hot spot device as its router.
We have installed a WIFI thermostat for this customer. Customer does not have a router, but since they are in a rural area, they use a Verizon mobile hot spot device. I just want to make sure this range extender will link with the Gateway and thermostat.
It should work as long as the hotspot is broadcasting a wifi signal, this range extender should be able to connect to it. The hotspot is functioning as a router as you're explaining it and the range extender won't know the difference.

I bought some skull candy ear phones from best buy and they have been stolen. Can I replace them if I have a 2 year warranty?
It's a warranty, not an insurance policy. The Best Buy extended warranty covers breakage, either accidental or due to defect, not loss or theft. You could make a home-owner's insurance claim on it, but I highly doubt it would be worth it.

No, this device is for connecting multiple devices to a single computer. What you're looking for is called a print server. I don't know if Best Buy still carries those or not. Some routers have this function built in. Alternatively, many newer printers support a feature called Air Print which allows any device with a wireless connection to your network to print directly to the printer.

Very short. Only a couple inches long.
