Kids will enjoy it and you might too

I'm gonna be quick with this one, Lion King epic it's not, and if you have seen the previous installments, you know that already. So, in short, the kids should enjoy this one. It's cheaper than taking them to the movies that's for sure. Now, the kids won't be asking to see it again and again, like Frozen or other blockbuster, but it's in 3D, the effects were good, and well I paid less than $20 for it (on sale and using rewards), so it was worth it to me. Get this one if you see it on sale or if you are a big fan of the series.

After being told how awful this movie was I decided to check out the train wreck myself. I'm a 3D aficionado so I said what the heck. Expecting very little, I saw the movie and was pleasantly surprised. The 3D effects were not in your face, I like in your face, but still had some nice visuals to offer. The CGI was solid and the movie was epic-ish, enough to warrant a place on my 3D movie collection. I'm happy to have ignored the critics on this one.

Great 3D effects

Yes I'm old enough to have seen the first GBs. And while I can't say this movie is better, I can tell you it's a great movie on its own. I'm reviewing the 3D version here and can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good the effects were. This 3D blue ray definitely belongs in your collection. As for the movie, plot, acting etc, it was good and satisfying enough for the genre. This is not some serious drama so if you let it be what it is, a light hearted fun/ridiculous adventure, you might just enjoy it as much as I did. Buy this movie it, if you can be brave enough to let your hair down a little.

Not bad for kids

Saw this with my daughter. A few parts are a little dumb. The songs are actually pretty good. The story is borderline alright. Not a movie for adults but ok for kids 7 and older I would say. Some boyfriend-girlfriend situations but nothing too bad. So watch it first before you let your kid watch it. Overall an ok musical.

Guys this is a classic. Is it goofy? Yes, is it ridiculous at times? Yeah. Is it worth your money? Yup. It's a classic. It can be funny and even laugh outloud funny at times. Worth the money but you gotta be a starwars fan to appreciate it.

Who would have known Tom Cruise can sing. These actors blew me away with their singing. This movie is a must watch for any fan of 80s heavy metal. But even if you are not a fan of hair-band music, the acting is great. It's a musical with lots of great performances. Don't think just buy this one guys.

Excellent even for non HALO fans

This is an excellent movie with solid acting. You don't need to be a HALO fan to enjoy it. It has a few parts that could have been thought out better. Some things will have you thinking "huh?" But for the most part, it's worth the $10 (bluray). Unlike the very bad "Halo the fall of reach" movie, this one was given some serious TLC. And unlike the so-so acting in the "Forward unto dawn" movie, this one has good acting. Don't think about it just buy it. You won't be disappointed. Don't expect a Disney production type thing though, because that it is not. Just think mid level budget and you will be very satisfied.

Disappointingly BAD

I'm a huge HALO fan and purchased this movie for under $5 (on sale). I had heard the movie was uninspiring and rushed. But how can you go wrong payin less than $5 right? Well, aparantly you can go very wrong. Not sure what the filmmakers where trying to do but the end product is awful. Bad even for a huge Halo fan to swallow. My $5 would have been better spent had they fell out of my pocket.

For Kids ONLY

I got this for my 6 year old who is a fan of the spy kids series. It came with shark boy lava girl included. Shark boy lava girl was painful to watch. My daughter liked it. She is 6. The spy kids disk was somewhat watchable. A lot of pop-out effects, and that is good because it is meant for a younger audience. I paid $9.99 and that's fair. I recommed this if you have young kids. Adults won't enjoy it much am afraid. But it's fine for kids
