I buy the LG laundry which comes with rubber hoses unlike most machines that do not come with anything. its recommended that you upgrade to stainless but i'm not sold on that at this point.

I saw this one comes with a built in ice maker. Do you need to hook the fridge up to a water source for the ice maker? If the water source is too far, can you disable the ice maker function?
If you can not bring water to the ice maker then it can not make ice. pretty simple equation. Yes, you can turn off the ice maker function.
