My girl friend was having a lot of trouble using the standard remotes for the Sony AV player, comcast dvr, LG tv, LG blue ray and roku box. It got to the point she simply couldn't watch Roku unless I was around. I had programmed a cheap radio shack remote to handle most of this but frankly it was tough for me to keep sorted out and I was running out of buttons to program. I balked at the price of the harmony 700 but after reading the mostly positive reviews decided it was worth a shot. I'm fairly experienced with computers and found the setup to be a breeze. The setup instructions should be more clear for Roku and BluRay devices. I suggest Logitech setup separate categories just for them. Also the Harmony 700 doesn't have a specific programmed button for the home key for Roku. It was simple enough to program a specific button to handle this. The actual operation of the harmony 700 is wonderful and now my girl friend can watch whatever she wants whenever she wants. I intentionally messed up the shut down procedure just to demonstrate how nicely the help function works to complete shut down in case there is a problem. She's thrilled with that feature as that was a recurring problem with our old hodgepodge of remotes. I still use the comcast remote from my chair to switch channels or adjust volume (sort of his and hers remote-grin), but I grab the harmony 700 for everything else.
What's great about it: Ease of setup, ease of operation, it just works as advertised
What's not so great: Cost is a bit steep, setup instructions could be better for Roku.
