I thought the game started out slow. It's one of the most graphic and most gruesome games I've ever played. So far, the only gripe is that you'll be stuck at a checkpoint where there is a specific method of continuing on to the next checkpoint albeit a boss or usage of forensic tools (which can a bummer too). Other than that, flat out violence and profanity just adds to the fun of this game. You can even shotgun a bottle of booze just to calm your nerves when handling a weapon. From drugs, to violence, profanity, alcoholism, you name it, this game has it. It's got a weird story and by far, if you ever get the opportunity to do a finishing move - do it and watch. Some of the violent scenes are just flat out "wrong". It's not for the weak at heart. Very very gory and gruesome violence. I loved it, but then again, this game is not for everyone.
What's great about it: Some of the most gruesome, grossest and grotesque violence in this game
What's not so great: Sometimes, it's practically impossible to determine where you're getting attacked from

Don't get me wrong, this game is addicting and fun. The main character you play reminds me of what Bart Simpson would be if he were in high school. The first few missions get you hooked into this game. The "missions" range from helping out jocks, nerds, winning affection from the girls, taking classes, pranks, you name it. It's a really fun game. Lots of brain teaser games (you'll know what I mean when you control the character to attend class). Aside from that, it just seems like the same gameplay I've seen in the Grand Theft Auto series/genre. It gets a little redundant but the new "errands" and "missions" keep you hooked. I gave this game 4 stars because the graphics are not exactly 1080p material, but like I said, the humor and interesting missions keep you hooked (that, and justly priced at $49.99 - if only all Xbox 360 games were priced that low!)
What's great about it: Fun and hilarious "missions" in which you deal with nerds, jocks, prefects, teachers, etc.
What's not so great: Same Grand Theft Auto gameplay but in a high school environment

The voice acting is superb. I like how the producers of this animated feature got Dante's nonchalant and cocky attitude down cold. The thing about anime is that this DMC animated series suffers the same ingredient of making it a necessity to have an "annoying whiny kid" in the series. It's either an anime MUST or just something in the anime genre that I never really understood. You almost wished Dante would just take out the kid like he ruthlessly takes out the demons in the 4 episodes in this DVD. That's another thing, the 4 episodes are pretty good to the point where you want MORE. The only problem is that you have to wait till April 2008 for the next 4 missions. Animation is great. The presentation of Dante, Lady and Trish are fantastic too. I wish there were more than 4 episodes in this DVD. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the next one. DMC fans would definitely love this series in my opinion, I personally do.
What's great about it: Voice acting is great. Producers of show nailed down Dante's laid back personality cold.
What's not so great: The "annoying whiny kid" factor in anime is present in this series. Dante tends to be a pushover in this series
SynopsisFollowing in the footsteps of his legendary father Dark Knight Sparda, young Dante faithfully fulfills his birthright by battling the Holy Knights, a religious order dedicated to ridding the world of demons. Capcom has really outdone itself this time. The first 3 DMC games were tolerable but the game control and storylines were sketchy at best. DMC 4 redeems itself for DMC 3 with an easier button setup and an "automatic" feature for players who don't have time to learn dozens of button pattern schemes to perform awesome combos. The gameplay is quick paced and the graphics are fantastic. The cutscenes are beautiful too. Although I wasn't too thrilled with the storyline, I love how Capcom does do some character building techniques in storytelling surrounding Nero and Dante (the main characters). I haven't had a game grasp my attention like this since Call of Duty 4 and Mass Effect. Quite entertaining and very fast paced and action packed. The demo didn't do this game much justice. I was iffy on buying the game and whoa what a difference the actual game is from the demo. I definitely recommend this game! Totally awesome!
What's great about it: Lots of action, gore, and the presentation/graphics is top notch
What's not so great: The storyline and acting is just as bad as the anime cartoon series

I was hoping that this RPG would be all the bells and whistles everyone raved it would be. I was quite disappointed. It takes a little getting used to the inventory system and if you're not familiar with that system - battles can be frustrating. There is an incredible amount of subtitles to read and having your main character not being able to speak (just like in KOTR II) is a bummer. The sidequests are okay but overall, I wasn't too impressed by the graphics and gameplay. By the 3rd day, I just gave my copy away. It just didn't have the lure like an RPG like Mass Effect did. Oh well, it just wasn't for me.
What's great about it: Storyline is well structured. You can play game without any prior knowledge of previous game from this series
What's not so great: LONG and boring. You'll spend more time reading and going from town to town if anything

Mass Effect is not your typical role playing game. The gameplay is SO addicting because the game was made so well (storyline is terrific and voice acting is superb). Combat takes a little getting used to. The use of the Maco vehicle is the game's lowpoint. Very terrible targeting scheme as well as movement control. Other than that, the decisions you are faced are terrific. You can either react or make decisions with morality or answer them like jerk (usually answering messages in a unkind or jerklike manner results in hilarious answers from the character "Shepard" which you are using). Other than that, the REPLAY VALUE is very high. Definitely a keeper. I hope they make a sequel to this game. Best game i've played (that is NOT a pure FPS) this year!
What's great about it: Most highly interactive RPG I've ever played. Great voice acting. Very well written story
What's not so great: A few glitches, the Maco vehicle is not exactly fun to operate, story glitches

When you first start the game, you'll start wondering what the heck is going on. You'll soon find out there is a dual storyline in this game of present and past. You get to control "Altair" (the name of the ancestor/assassin) and go off in little investigations which lead to assassination assignments. The environment is stunning. The A.I. of the populace is great too. There are town drunks and beggars that can really blow your cover when you're trying to do stealth kills. There are choppy transitions. The details of the environment is so stunning in this game that I think that it's too much for the Xbox 360's processors to process without a little choppiness on the visual end. The character is so agile and can climb up almost anything and jump from rooftop to rooftop, you'd swear that the only thing missing for the main player/character is webslinging abilities and a Spiderman suit! For all the hype that surrounded this game, I am a bit disappointed. You are limited in the weapons you can use and it IS possible to just run and gun your assassination assignments rather than go stealth all the time. It makes the game more difficult when you do this, but moving in stealth mode (blend) from location to location or from assassination to assassination all the time can wear on a player's patience. Overall, great game, but I've seen other games put the Xbox 360 to better potential than what the hype states this game does.
What's great about it: Environment is stunning. A.I. of the populace is amazing as well. Visually stunning
What's not so great: Lots of choppiness. Lots of intentional and UNintenional glitches. Storyline is so-so.

I've watched the Simpsons ever since it first aired way back in 1989 (yes, it's been almost 20 yrs since this show has been on the air!) and by far, this video game has some of the most hilarious one liners, jokes, dialogue, and creativity yet. If you're a fan of the show, you'll appreciate this video game for it's presentation as an interactive TV show. I don't really think this video game was meant to be taken seriously (like gamers would with Gears of War or Halo 3). It's a treat for fans who love the show. It's the same cast doing the voices for the animation which is a joy. I have to admit, this game is pretty easy and you'll probably be done with it in less than 8hrs of devoted play time. It's the experience and hilarious factor of this game that holds it high above water. Even if you're not a fan of the TV show, you can't help but laugh here and there at some of the dialogue, it's just TOO funny! If you're a fan of the TV show, this game is ALL that. If you're looking for something of some worthy challenge with multi-player online shenanigans - then save your money and just rent the game. Other than that, I really love this game!
What's great about it: For lack of a better description, it's a hilarious INTERACTIVE episode. Totally hilarious dialogue!
What's not so great: This is basically one long episode in which you control the characters in between cut scenes

Probably the most detailed and beautiful FPS game!

By far, this has to be the most interesting yet beautiful shooter I've played yet. It's all the hype that it was hyped up to be. If you have a 1080i or 1080p HDTV - this game will look stunning on your TV. The storyline is so creepy and retro at the same time. It's a 1960s feel to a futuristic world underwater - YET - the weapons are retro. A retro-feel to a futuristic world underwater. The violence and gore is top notch. It made all my disappointment in Halo 3 go away. This game had me playing for hours and hours and hours and the storyline is just way too weird and compelling that I had to force myself to save my game progress and stop so I could go to bed! It's that fun. You've got plenty of powers (called plasmids) and weapons in the game. The only downfall of the game is the "hacking" aspect of it all. When you buy the game, you'll come across these "hacks" that you can perform or pay to be bypassed which gets truly annoying. Tripping the security alarms also adds to ruining the flow of the game, but other than that, this game is visually stunning, gameplay is top notch, and the detail put into graphics and storyline is 1st class!
What's great about it: Incredible detail. Developers spent a lot of attention to environment detail AND storyline. It's incredible!
What's not so great: After a while, you get tired of "hacking" and tripping alarms. It just deters the fun of the whole game

This game was meant for online play - and that's it. If you played the campaign solo feature of this game - it's very short and customized to make any newbie to the Halo genre comfortable. The over-marketing and over-hype of this game put my expectations up too high. For a FPS game, it's very so so and unless you play online against other players - this game is very bland. So if you don't intend to take advantage of Xbox Live Gold (they give you a free trial card) - then I suggest another FPS. The so-called "gore and violence" is toned down "Star Wars style" and I think the rating of "M" is slightly over-exaggerated. Other than that, I was really disappointed with this game due to the over-hype and over-marketing.
What's great about it: Online multi-player option is exceptional. Incredibly fun when playing ONLINE
What's not so great: Graphics are so so, solo campaign feature is SHORT
