A Knight's Tale to Remember

The first time I watched this movie I found it amusing and that's about it. Then I saw it again with some participants of a Renaissance Faire. It was suddenly much funnier. Give it a try. It's filled with creative anachronisms and strong performances.

Inexpensive, good choice

I purchased two of these to use in conjunction with the factory battery. I don't recall which lasts longer. It does hold a charge well, but can drain it quickly when using the video function of a camera. Still, for the money, it's a great purchase.
What's great about it: low price, works well
What's not so great: may not last as long as the factory battery

Internet Connectable?Yes
Connected to the Internet:Yes
We spent a considerable amount of time comparing features, ratings, and price before deciding that this TV was the one for us. The frosted glass cuts down on window glare. It doesn't weigh much so mounting it on the wall would be easy, if necessary. The sound is strong, but doesn't carry much bass. However, that could just be our settings. It was on sale when we bought it. Then it went on sale again at an even better price two weeks later. It is a value either way.
Internet content most enjoyed: netflix, pandora, youtube
What's great about it: Good price, easy set up
What's not so great: Sound range could provide more bass

The funtastical family film about "real spies...only smaller" comes to DVD and flops. Sure, the colors of Floop's Fooglies are rich and bright on the 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation and yes, the Dolby Digital 5.1 audio makes for sharp and strong sound, but for a movie that's jam-packed with stunts, special effects, makeup, and gadgets, the bonus features are virtually MIA. Who cares that there's two trailers, a couple sneak peeks (okay, A Wrinkle in Time does look sensational), a Spy Kids website promo, and two advertisements (Spy Kids soundtrack and the book, Artemis Fowl)? Where's the behind-the-scenes featurettes -- the "How'd they do that?" look at the Thumb-thumbs, the close-up inspection of the nifty gadgets like the Machete Buddy Pak and the Electroshock Gumballs, the interview with Robert Rodriguez explaining what prompted him to move from adult action to family fantasy, the, you know, secrets behind the Spy Kids? While Spy Kids might have been a surprise spring sensation, it's even more surprising how uninspired and ordinary the DVD is. It's also a disappointment for kids and parents. Hopefully the sequel (Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams) will be better -- then again, you know how sequels are.

Robert on Film

I enjoy this movie every time I see it. My children watch it often, too.
This is one of the last times director Robert Rodriguez worked with film as his choice of media. He quickly embraced the digital concept by the time he made the second Spy Kids movie.
Overall, it's a harmless movie-no gratuitous violence. There are good themes for children throughout-family is important, believe in yourself, etc.
Watch it soon.
What's great about it: Well acted, cute story
What's not so great: Disc lacks a commentary track
