very bright

I got this for my dad, and he just used it to do a repair. It is very bright (brighter than a different one that I was using). He did have some difficulty finding and pressing the on/off switch when it was on his head, but that is easily rectified by turning it on before placing it on his head. Great sale price, too!

Did NOT protect against Surge

I replaced my ordinary surge protector with this APC UPS surge protector about 2 weeks ago thinking it would offer greater protection for my PC along with battery backup. Big mistake! We had a power surge today, and now my 1 year old power supply is ruined. My son’s CyberPower UPS handled the surge properly for his computer, but my brand new APC 750VA failed to protect my computer. My computer’s Antec TP3 power supply that I got a year ago has been zapped and fried.

I called APC and found that I will have to ship the UPS back at my own expense. Then IF they decide that the UPS was faulty, they will only reimburse the fair market value of USED equipment, NOT the replacement value. So I will be out a costly shipping fee (the UPS is heavy) and a good part of the cost to replace my power supply. Plus now I will worry that it will happen again.

I am very disappointed in the quality of this APC product and the deceptive equipment protection warranty that doesn’t live up to expectations.

What's great about it: Good outlet spacing, a lot of outlets

What's not so great: Did not protect my power supply

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
