What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream. In a city that worships money and status, life is heaven for those who prosper and a living nightmare for those who don't. Developed by the superstar designers at Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV continues the exciting legacy of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

When I started playing GTA4 I was completely impressed. It really felt for the 1st time since I bought the ps3 that I was playing a next generation console game. I have had my ps3 since 2 months after they came out. Graphics are awesome, best story so far, voice acting is best I have ever seen on any game ever. If you buy this game you will love it if you remotely enjoy the genre. The only flaw with the game itself is the music selection. Most of the stuff available are songs I've never heard of, don't get me wrong its not bad music, but on prior games it was great to drive down the hi-way listening to stuff I normally hear on the radio(popular songs) . The other really down thing about this game (which is why I left out 1 star) is there is a ps3 hardware issue with some of the original 60GB PS3's. Apparently on *some* of these consoles the game will lock up frequetly *and* then freeze the entire ps3 system even if you put a different game in. Fortunatly this has not happened to me yet, but it happened to my neighbor friend next door. This issue is being discussed on the Ps3 forum boards and I don't know if there is a fix in place yet or not for this. If Sony doesn't address this fast I fear it will tarnish their release of one of thier best games ever on ps3.
What's great about it: Graphics, story, character depth, new driving system
What's not so great: music not as good as last one, ps3 hardware issue
I would recommend this to a friend!
