Picture quality is excellent. Sound is excellent with the music now more defined for home theater use. Could have done with better extras, but if you like the movie, you can't beat the price.

Stunning version of a classic.

This is a must own if you are a fan of this classic movie, believe me. Having seen this movie for decades on formats ranging from t.v. rebroadcasts (b/w and colorized) to videodisc versions from the early 80's and vhs copies, I have to say I was absolutely stunned at what I saw when I played this blu-ray. Gone were all the pops and crackling on the soundtrack that I had grown up with and remembered on all other versions. It was like seeing a whole new movie. The picture quality also will probably never look any better than it does here. For this reason alone, this is a must own.

Classic film in a must own version.

What could arguably be one of the top movies ever made for all-in-all entertainment value, this is Hitchcock at probably his best. While "Psycho" is still my favorite of his films, this movie represents a different viewing entertainment. Everything in the movie works. The cast, direction, production, story...everything works perfectly and this blu-ray is the best it has all looked, maybe ever. Good extras included, plus a nice blu-ray book packaging, this a must own version for a movie collection.

Good collection for the hits.

A good collection of the hits from Phil Spector produced Philles era music. Most of the known hits he produced are included. I like a few of the songs here with the rest skipable (my real favorites are from the Phil Spector Christmas album). Still, these songs are classics and sound great here.

Much improved over previous blu-ray version

Like many reviews have stated, this is the version to own. I agree that this versions picture and sound, which still gives the movie a film look while improving the picture and sound, is much better than the first version which added a great deal more unnatural grain to the picture. With some good extras included, this is the version you want.

Must own blu-ray of sci-fi classic.

For any fan of great film making and mind expanding sci-fi should own this blu-ray. Picture and sound are excellent along with a number of extras make this a must own at a good price.

Classic soundtrack remastered

Great soundtrack with excellent sound. My only complaints are that for some tracks, edited lengths were used rather than complete tracks found on past versions and the "Raiders March" single is excluded (also appeared on past versions). Overall, a good buy if you don't already own.
