OK, I usually don't like to review an item until I've owned it for a while, but I am so happy with this DVD recorder I just had to do it now.
I love it! It was so easy to set up. The picture is awesome. It is so easy to record onto a DVD and the recorded DVD's are beautiful. It also reads other DVD's recorded on older machines. And when you compare the quality of other recorded DVD's there is just no comparision.
I've spent the last year with this TERRIBLE Sharp DVD recorder/VCR unit. It would only record on 1 in 10 discs and the quality was not so good. I can not count the many wasted hours I've spent trying to get my Sharp recorder to record. So having this Toshiba is great. I have made multiple DVD's in the last few days and they all look great. I don't even have it set up through the HDMI yet and I love it. I am using Conponent Video cables until my HDMI cable comes in. The picture is so nice now I can't wait to see what happens with the HDMI cable.
What's great about it: Picture Quality, Ease of Use, Excellent DVD recording
What's not so great: None so far
I would recommend this to a friend!

which camera is better for me?

well i am looking at 2 different cameras...a canon powershot g9 and a canon sd 870 IS. i mainly take pictures of my kids and sporting events and put them on the computer and print them for my family. which is better? i want something that will take fast pictures so i dont miss a smile or something.
I am a Mom of 2 and my main concern is getting good pics of my kids. I did purchased the new 10mp Canon and returned it because of the delay. It has all this technology to take a great picture quickly but it picks up on odd areas and everything else is blurry. My sister also has a Canon and she hates it. She says she is alway missing special moments because of the delay and odd focusing that it does. I just bought the Panasonic TZ5 and so far am very happy with the speed, quality, color and awesome zoom.
