Bought my first set of these in the fall of 2007, sound has been excellent until just recently when my subwoofer blew... I don't quite understand how powered subwoofers can blow themselves, given that I almost never turned the bass passed half-way on the speaker-mounted dial, and never turned them up past level 6 out of ten on my desktop volume control.
But alrighty, they're awesome enough that I'm willing to buy another set. Here's to another long(?6yrs?) partnership. :)
If I'd been able to buy just a replacement subwoofer speaker, and install it in my current enclosure, I might've saved some money, and most of the resources, shipping and fuel costs that an entire new speaker set was needed. But here's to capitalistic consumerism, where everything is disposable, even if it mostly still works. :)
What's great about it: Sound quality is typical Klipsch A+
What's not so great: subwoofer went to static heaven after 6 years, bass adjustment post was bent out of true when I bought them
