this will be my first bad revue of a product, you will not believe the disapointment in these speakers. First the sound is twangy like comparing a guitar versusu a banjo. these speakers sound like a twangy banjo at best. the sub is the only thing decent. stereo ambience is almost none.speakers are all plastic and controls built into right speaker. so u can see the problems there down the road. speakers conections are the worst i ever seen(why was it so hard to use speaker wire- instead of everything in one cable). speakers are very limited to placement due to cord lenght and speaker design. i have 4 kids and grandkids, so i buy lots of stuff and this is the worst product for the money i have ever purchased( there $39 speakers sound just as good. SAVE your money get the klipsch 2.1 pro media sound is spectacular and same price as these logitechs $154
What's great about it: sub only
What's not so great: everything TWANGY SOUND HORRIBLE

while i am not a big bose fan these speakers arent much different. nice sound but the low end needs alot to be desired. typical low end flubber wich i did not expect. hi and mids ok. the bass has that constant same sound like it is fixed very disapointed there. for $150 dont think i would recomend if u can get on sale for 100bucks ok.. would not recomend bose either(dont let the name fool u) To get the sound you probably desire u will end up spending over $4oo.. However surprisingly enough i would recomend the Logitech z623 for the $129 at bestbuy they will shock u. got some for my son and was shocked. solid-powerfull-good sound.(surprised me). There for i will probably be returning my klipsch and getting the Logitechs 330 watts power and i believe it. Klipsch 2oowatts . yes u feel the difference
What's great about it: nice sound
What's not so great: SUB-flubbery (almost fixed) better deal Logitech z623
Use this Klipsch ProMedia 3-piece speaker system to enjoy brilliant sound when playing games, listening to music or watching videos on your computer.

****update for klipsch review *******
March 19, 2011
update, Tried another pair and these are fine, sound is smoothe and very apealing the only improvement on sound i can hear would be the sub. But these speakers blow away the logitechs and bose. placement flexibity is great. and yes the actually use speaker wire contol pod can be removed. I must say i have about $45,ooo in my home theater and for the $150bucks for the klipsch very nice job of making all sound souces sound nice. and designed them so if u do ever have a problem the whole system wont need replaced just effected issue. ALL IN ALL GREAT SPEAKER. hey best buy fix review site so we can make amendments to our reviews..

Design I was looking for!
ByEngelwoodfromAlbertville,MN
I liked the sub box and design but it was just not deep enuff for my Alpine Type E subwoofer the magnet hit the back so the sub wouldn't even sit flush with the box! If they would make it just a little bit deeper it would be perfect!
