They may look cute, but there's nothing nice about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fighting frenzy will have you inflicting painful KO's on familiar opponents you thought were your friends. Take your frustrations out on Link, Mario and other characters from throughout the gaming world. Shoot spaceships out of the sky in the Lylat System from the Star Fox games and deal out killer blows in Rumble Falls based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.Hit opponent after opponent to build up your damage meter, then knock your enemies clear off the screen. Rely on weapons that are silly but very effective, such as banana peels, pitfalls, gooey bombs and many more. Hurl old-school crates and barrels or select from Assist Trophies and Poke Balls to strike fear in the hearts of your foes. Combine Standard, Strong and Smash attacks to bash your way to victory. There are so many ways to smash, you'll get lost in the melees for hours on end.

This game is a huge improvement to the super smash brothers melee. The characters are even better in this game. I like how Nintendo brought back the old melee stages. The storyline was quite fun and had a good challenge to it. Any super smash brothers fan should buy this for the ultimate wombo combo!
What's great about it: storyline, challenging, characters
What's not so great: online play

An Okay Mic

A lot of people give a 1-3 star review for a small think that is wrong with their mic. For me i have 2 wired mics. the sound quality is decent for $20. Every now and then your xbox live pals will tell you that you're either cutting out or going all static. a simple unplug and replug fixes things. I often times accidentally rip the plug out of the controller which is a pain in the rear. i wish Microsoft would make the cord a foot or so longer.

Lego Video Games Yet to let me Down
on October 19, 2011

I am a huge fan of the Lego video game series. They are very fun games to play since they are easy to 1000G it. This game was certainly a new twist to the series. I like the fact that the minikits are actually unlock able characters that you get to use in the game. The cut scenes in the story is very humorous, but that is to be expected from the Lego series. I wish there were more Sith levels, since there are 18 Separatist levels and 2 Sith levels. It is a pain in the rear with the characters and their abilities. In my opinion there are way too many clone trooper characters that have either rocket launchers, chain guns, or the ability to command troops. It kind of reminds me of Lego Batman with all the power suits you had. My only problem to the series is that there is always a major glitch that prevents you from getting something (i.e gold brick, red brick, or minikit). I can't get the last two gold bricks to get 70G for all gold bricks and 100G for 100% completion. All in all, its a very fun game despite the major glitches.
What's great about it: fun, easy, entertaining, humorous
What's not so great: very glitchy

Microsoft points are quite useful for online gaming. The points let you buy downloadable content for your video games. Keep in mind the points go by quick. Usually with new title games you about two downloads with all 1600 Microsoft points. I wish Microsoft would lower the points value of the DLC for games so you get more bang for your buck. I just wish the map packs for example were free since we as the gamers spend $60 for a new title game and have to add on another $20 to the game.
What's great about it: available online, convenient

NYKO is Risky
on September 20, 2011
Posted by: Chibs
from jedi temple
I am just the casual gamer who plays on the weekends usually, or if I have a vacation. I looked everywhere for just the Microsoft brand rechargeable battery pack. I cannot find them anywhere. I have the Microsoft Quick Charge Kit that came with one battery pack. This play-and-charge retailed for $19.99. I always talk to customer associates before i make a purchase. I was a little hesitant to buy an off brand product, but the sales associate reassured me the NYKO battery pack was approved by Microsoft and can be used with my charge kit. So I plugged it into my controller out of the package and i had two battery bars. after the battery died i charged it and it took an hour to do so. I took the battery out of the charger and plugged it into my controller and i got about 30 hours of gaming in. and i recharged it and this time it took 10 minutes to charge and my battery lasted for two hours. Shameful thing is this product is a week old. Spend the $20 on a play-and-charge kit. At least its Microsoft brand.
Apparently, according to the other reviews it damages your controller.
Microsoft NEEDS to come out with the battery packs.
What's great about it: design, price
What's not so great: off brand, short battery life, can damage controller
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New and improved controller
on September 8, 2011
Posted by: Chibs
from jedi temple
I like the fact that Microsoft has a brand new look to the controller making it all black with a chrome center button. The buttons work great, but i have a problem with my controller already. My controller does what i like to call the "ghost movement" where you don't even touch the controller and the character in your game moves on its own. It's very irritating how this happens. I've only had this controller for about a month and i play on the weekends for a few hours at a time and this already happened. I'm taking this in and getting it repaired.

Only for Entertaining a Party

i got my wii console in 2007 when it first came out and i didnt see what the big deal was. I still like Nintendo, i just didn't care so much for the wii. the controller is nice being small and comfortable in your hands, but i don't like how the nunchuck is wired. i think they should be both wireless. the sensor bar i think should be built into the system because not every entertainment system has the best spot for the sensor bar. so i have to stack a few things under the sensor bar in order for it to read my controls. the games are also a big letdown. its either all work out games or preschool games. where are the good games for teenagers? the only good games are super smash brothers brawl and legend of zelda the twilight princess.
What's great about it: entertaining
What's not so great: no good games

Not That Great

i had this game for all of 4 days before returning it and getting a refund. this game would be a whole lot better if people didn't mod and cheat the system. but the exp was very nice and it was easy to level up. the maps were also very cool and are still the best maps out of all the call of duties. the guns are also nice and its easy to get a kill versus black ops where it takes a full clip to kill someone. i still recommend this to a friend.

What's not so great: people mod to get their rank

So far, The Best Halo Game
on August 10, 2011

i've had this game for a few weeks and i like this game a lot. this game is more my speed where it takes little skill to kill other teammates. the exp is also very nice and it is very easy to level up. i also like that they give you daily and weekly challenges that are an added bonus towards leveling up. i also like that you can earn credits and buy cool armor. i'd say that the forge is the best part of the game. BUNGIE majorly improved on the forge so you dont need to stack things like you did in halo 3. i wish you would get more pieces in forgeworld. the price for this game is also decently priced. i recommend this to a friend. i look forward to halo anniversary and halo 4.
What's great about it: forge, leveling up, earning credits, price
What's not so great: forge mode doesn't have enough pieces
