A great looking bit of nostalgia

Ok, this is not fine cinema. This is a quirky little film that many of us have fond memories of.
After only watching this movie on TV and VHS for my whole life, the BluRay is nothing short of amazing looking.
The film itself is fun to watch again. We'll show it to our kids in a year or so and see if they will develop as much of an attachment to it as we did.

An amazing looking remaster of an important film

First, it looks fantastic. Having only seen this on VHS before, this is an eye opener. If you are a fan of the film it is a worthy upgrade from the DVD.
As for the film itself, I grew up on Star Wars, fast space shoot-outs is NOT what this film is about! I remember being bored when I first saw 2001 when I was 15. I was downright baffled by the last 15 minutes.
Now that I am older I get the film a bit more. I am especially happy to watch it and see when filmmakers that have followed have taken inspiration from Kubrick.
If you are a fan of the film or just a fan of films this is a worthy addition to your collection.

A slower Max ....

I grew up on the Mad Max movies, my mom took us to the drive in when the first one came out. My brother and I were supposed to be lying down in the back of the van but my we managed to sneak-watch the movie! By the time Thunderdome came out I could go by myself to see it, but I remember thinking it wasn't that good.
Now that I am older I appreciate this film a bit more. It seems like the director realized that the first Mad Max film set a fast pace, this was bumped up with The Road Warrior, so rather than going crazy fast with even more crashes he slowed this one down.
It isn't a great movie but I do think it is an essential part of Max's story.

Great Sound, especially for the price!

The little speaker produces great sound, I would be thrlled even if it cost more! I got this on special and have pretty modest expectations but I am very impressed with the sound from this speaker.
The range on the bluetooth seems fine though I did not have my phone more than 20 feet away from the speaker. Over the course of 2 hours I had only 3 tiny drop outs. With my phone within 5 feet I had no drops at all.
I use this when I am in the pool with my kids or when I am doing yard work, very convenient.

We used these on our washer and dryer and are amazed at how much more space we have in our tiny laundry room.
Very easy to install but you definitely need 2 strong people to put the dryer on top of the washer.
The Q&A section of the Best Buy website for this item has an extensive list of questions answered including models these can be used with.

What can you say about this film that has not already been said? If you like sweeping epics with great characters and gorgeous cinematography the this is the version to get.

My wife and I quite liked this movie. The animation style is great and it looks amazing. While we didn't find it as funny a some other animated movies the kids LOVE this.

if you are a fan of the Cohen brothers this is most likely on any list of your favorite films. so many great performances, so many quirky characters. this bluray looks amazing and has tons of extras including a part of a documentary about the Lebowski-festivals.
i can get you a toe ....

Does the chrome finish show from the front once installed? I have the white washer and dryer and want a cohesive look.
No, you can't see any of the stacking kit from the front. From the side you can see a little bit of the grey plastic that sits between the washer and dryer but it is not visually disruptive at all (mine are white too!).
