I'm a hardcore Ninja Gaiden player. I finished Pt. 1 and 2 on the Xbox and 360 respectively on their hardest mode.
This game doesn't follow the same story line (which are strange story lines and a bit incoherent to start) and has Ryu as more of a military agent. I'm well into the game and the gameplay has become very repetitive on Hard and the enemies are all the same. They added some new things like climbing up a sheer wall and jumping out of high buildings, but these haven't added anything to the gameplay. I also find the things that are yelled out ("That da** ninja" and the S word) during gameplay were excessive, repetitive and again didn't add to the game.
As other reviewers noted, you only get 1 weapon and the gimmick of the poisoned arm is silly and just gives you the ability to play in slow motion. Your ninpo abilities are severely limited in this game also.
I'll probably finish it because I tend to finish games I buy, but I would say this has been one of the biggest disappointments I've found this year.
Ninja Gaiden is known for it's brutally hard gameplay and amazing graphics. This has the graphics, but not the gameplay. I know Team Ninja replaced many team members after NGII but they should have stuck with what gave them their previous success. I wouldn't buy this again.
I would recommend any of the other games below over this one. Bayonetta and Darkness 2 are ok but better than this. Batman is great! Ninja Gaiden 1 is Awesome and Ninja Gaiden 2 is pretty good (but neither is carried by Best Buy anymore)
Joss Whedon attempted to follow up his successful series Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the science fiction-themed Firefly. Although the series failed to garner a mass audience, it did have a loyal following. Those fans will be pleased by this box set that contains every episode of the series that aired, as well as three never-before-seen episodes. All 15 episodes are presented in anamorphic widescreen. English, French, and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Commentaries are available on four of the episodes. Production featurettes, a blooper reel, and a tour of the set with Whedon round out this solid package that should be of interest to genre enthusiasts as well as Whedon's fans.

I've owned this set for quite a while and just haven't gotten around to watch it. I finaly did see it recently and couldn't quit watching. I basically watched 1 episode a night for just over two weeks. It was easy to get into, had great character development and was really interesting.
Firefly isn't what you'd expect in a typical sci-fi show. It's very much a sci fi western. They even transport cattle in one episode. The outfits are a conglomeration of Western, Chinese and 80's sci fi uniforms.
The acting is excellent, the shows have interesting twists and turns and I wish more people (including me) had known about this gold mine when it was actually on TV. It'd be nice to see a good sci fi show on the air.
I haven't seen Serenity (the movie) yet, but I do own it and will be watching it soon.
