SynopsisWatch the simulated craziness unfold after the Sims wash up on a tropical deserted island in The Sims 2: Castaway. It's up to you to help these unwitting inhabitants overcome the forces of nature as well as human nature to survive in their new island home. Build their new life from the ground up by creating a crew consisting of a wide range of Sims, such as a doctor, auto mechanic and more. Decide where and how your Sims will live and what they will wear and eat. Help them make a go of it, or assist them in attempting to escape back to civilization. Either way, there are lots of laughs in store.Design your Sims' abode and furniture, craft the tools they will use to survive and scrounge up some clothes for them to wear. Hunt animals, gather food and prepare meals to sustain your hardworking Sims in their new environment. Explore the jungle, uncover its ancient mysteries and reveal clues that can help the Sims return to the lives they once knew. Decode a treasure map and stumble upon items that can help your Sims in their daily lives on the island. Trek through new territories, such as beaches, caves, lagoons and other areas. The characters' behaviors will change as they learn to cope with their new world, creating a gameplay experience that's almost as real as life itself.

Nice game overall

I normally purchase games for my PC but after reading reviews I discovered that there were some differences between the PC version and Wii version. Most reviews favored the Wii version so I purchased it instead. The game is really fun and having to accomplish goals to get off the island makes it even more entertaining. I think just about anyone could get used to the game controls but I am a diehard mouse guy and can't stand console game controllers. The Sims games are so much easier when using a mouse. Also, I know of only one way to save more than one game. That is for each person who plays Sims2 Castaway to have their very own memory card, otherwise it's totally a one person game that nobody else can play because if they do, your saved game gets erased. The game save and controller issue is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars.

PC vs. Wii

This comment surprised me a lot because I have both wii and PC and as much as I love wii, it does not compare to the PC. I don't have the best computer-it wont support sims 3 or spore, so i was happy to find a sims 3 game for wii. I went out and bought it the day after it came out for fifty dollars and played it with my best friend for hours. At first, it was great.... but eventually things kinda fall apart. FIrst off, you see people begin to die as ur life runs out until it seems like there isn't anybody alive that you had not created. The PC has all of these little things included that just don't make it into the cut of wii (like the color scheme) and as much as I play it, I'll never finish a game because I always start over.... which is annoying. Three slots for saving games? Makes me remember my Xbox fondly. Sims 2 on the xbox is much better even if you cant do things like fish or move around freely. Sims 3 on the wii also makes me kinda angry because you cannot build ur own house. you have to go with a premade one (even if there are about twenty to choose from)....
However, I have seen on the internet that this is on sale for 2.99 at best buy and I intend to buy it asap... once morning comes.
