Glitches until blu-ray is plugged directly to wall

Movie was glitching every few seconds on me so I returned it. The next one did the same thing so I read online and I plugged the blu-ray player directly into the wall instead of through the power strip and the movie played smoothly after that.
Sounded really stupid to me at first, thought maybe it wasn't processing the movie fast enough, but it worked.

What's great about it: In the $6.99 bucket
What's not so great: Movie glitches unless blu-ray player is plugged directly into the wall.
I would recommend this to a friend!
